If anyone watched the auction of a certain player earlier today then it is time to review the ability for a team to buy back a player that has already received a bid that they have transfer listed.

Team A lists player that Team B has agreed to buy.

Team B lists a player to raise capital to add to his cash to buy the player.

Team C and then D (presumably cos team C hasnt got enough cash) are waiting in the wings to raise the bid on Team B's player so he can finance Team A's player as the auction escalates.

Team B's player is now bid at a suspicious price so the only option now is for Team A and B to buy there own players back as they can't make the trade go through without overpricing their players.

All 4 teams are from the same country. Is this the type of bidding you want to encourage as with the rules as they are right now this is whats going to happen more and more.

There is nothing in the rules that forces you to sell a player unless you are on the verge of bankruptcy. Players don't become discontent and demand to leave. Is there a reason why you are allowed to buy back?

Change your mind, don't get the value you were looking for, or were looking to get a player to replace your listed player and fail so you buy them back. Those are just a few off the top of my head.

You do pay a price to buy your player back in agent fees, both in the actual cost and the reset to a higher agent fee percentage for re-listing.

The example is presented as how teams might be able to take advantage (maybe even cheat) by using the buy back policy. If anything this seems to be more of an issue with policy on collaborating/cheating then it is an issue with buying back players you transfer list.
