I see there are not many good players on the market right now.

Is it a good time to sell a great trainee or a bad time?

when is the best time to sell and get the most money?
Now?
off season?
start of next season?
mid season?

thanks

i think a lot of teams trim their roster as you say when extra draftees are about... also when they exit from cups.. (ie. BB3 team going out will trim roster).... i think the transfer market is more sensitive to skills than to the time in which you list...

Everyones currently jumping on the OD bandwagon..... I cant wait til we all discover that SB is the most underatted main skill and then watch everyone start pumping this into their roster!!!

ok I have an SG that is a Hall of Famer potential.
I figure if I sell him, I can get 2-3 older guys with similar or better skills with the profit.

should I wait till next season starts to sell him for maximum profit, and if so,sell at the start of the season or mid-season?

you have to see what the market is buying....

its a dilemma as i have no idea what his value is but a HofF young with decent skills is going to be big $$$.

Now a lot of big teams wont buy because skill wise he wont be good enough to break into somebodies 1st team yet so it may be wiser to keep training..

also having done the hard work and trained him from lets say draftee to $2.5mil.... i bet if you were patient and trained him 1 more season he could be worth 5-6mil.... so the training profit this season is likely to be far greater than selling now and then starting the process again..

so much depends on the position of your team vs your peers... so you have to judge whats best for your franchise!

forget everything i wrote - the new economic changes will cause transfer prices to plummet...... it is now practically irrelevant... 3 seasons of any training will only lead to a small financial reward!

i think at the start of the new season - so unless you can sell your player to someone who hasnt read this or it doesnt effect so much then i expect to see transfer fees go down steadily until people see the real impact of the new changes..
