Is there a way to calculate the wages of your players? And how can you control enormous wage raises?

I have an allround player earning 23000 (highest rate 12), and a single skilled player (14) also earing 23000...
I'm afraid that if I train my 12 to 13, I will be paying him 30000 next season :(

Josef Ka has done a lot of research on this topic. His first findings can be found here: (46657.42), but further down that thread there have been some adjustments. Please use the help forum for questions like this.
