To conclude, it doesn't appear it will change for Utopia.

who cares if many users do not agree with these rules in Utopia?

I don't agree with changing leagues if possible.

Heading on the right path so far. Are you?

only one wins and goes up while the others stay and work for the next season, it's the law of sport and i'm very surprised that people do not accept it. why should losers get the same result of the winner?
other consequences of the relegation/promotion rule in Utopia is that changing half of a league's teams every season will bring to less balanced championships, that a manager who wants to do a good season but doesn't want promotion must be careful to lose enough matches in order to avoid it and, last but not least, it becomes impossible for managers to know each other and become friends and rivals, knowing the opponent's players and so on.
Imho what get lost is very much more than what is got, when you get promoted without looking for it you are forced to change your project, you risk to be relegated immediately from the upper division losing a lot of money for 2 seasons cause the fans will soon abandon you if you stay in the bottom and the following season they will punish your relegation.

I'm completely in favour of this rule. And yeah swapping teams is useful to prevent leagues of 16 tankatons teams. Besides, I can't believe someone would try not to promote on purpose. If you can win a league while trying to lose, surely you should be able to compete at the next level with the same team...

Well actually I am not trying to win this season and am trying to possible build a homegrown hall of fame squad. That's just one of my goals. I am setting my prices really cheap to try to sell tickets and don't expect to win. I have currently 6 players and am keeping all 3 draftees this season good or bad. Tanking is a strategy even though fans dont like to see them lose we all can't win them all every single year no matter how hard we try. Plus the ability to become familar with opponet and rivalry is a good thing just like in real life.

Read the previous comments, I obviously meant I can't believe that someone with a team which is good enough to promote would willingly try to lose games.

Besides tanking is for 'ladies'. I'd rather quit the game than take the easy way. Anybody can tank and make millions: you need no skill, no brain and no brawns for that.

I haven't tank at alll for my first team. While trying to build a hall of fame squad much harder if you do it homegrown. You have any idea if I get a team full of homegrown hall of famers how much money that will make me?

Anybody can tank and make millions
Well if anybody can do it wont that take the fun of competing and the game itself. Not anybody can do it the one who wants to take time out from his team and focus on training and building his squad for the future knowing its a long term process and money is going to suffer for idk how long. But in the end if you get 1st round draft picks number 1 every so often it will eventually come to glamour.

no skill, no brain and no brawns for that.
You do have to have some skill to tank and keep minutes up each week while you train your team for the future right? No brain? Man its harder to tank without throwing your games for the number 1 pick than it is just to win games. Your suffering a loss each time you tank attendence goes down tremendously your profit suffers. But the plus side of it is that you get really good player 1/3 dtaft choice as I have had so far.
