Here we go! A season without the reign of Upsyndrome. This one should be interesting.

Eff you all.

Congrats!! I have been rooting for you to get here :-) This is the 4th time we have been in the same league together, and 5th if you count PL :-)

Good luck!

Holy cow, I thought that name sounded familiar.

That was the last big win with Moses Mayberry before the great rebuild. Sad that the monster wingmen and a 3pt shooting PF never got past D3!

Speaking of III.6: I followed Dong Energy as we both made our way up the ranks from D-IV through D-II. He outbid me for a 2.6m SF just before the D-IV playoff push. I faced his team in Jason's PL system in the superstar division and Dong Energy defeated me by 20 points in the PL finals. That same season, I later swept through my D-III playoffs and Dong Energy lost to you in the III.6 finals, though, he still promoted via bot clean up. That's when I first heard of the Flash Mashers. I checked to see how both of your teams fared in D-II , as sort of a measuring stick. Those were good times for me. I had some fond BB-memories then. Haha.

Dong energy has went bot since.

Oh, and around the same time I was in D-IV, there was competitive D-IV league that I followed for a while that produced some great managers: Meat Busters, Wolf Dogs, GM-Hrudey? and a few others.

I remember Dong Energy. He was pretty upset about that series. Each game was an upset, I won twice on the road and he won at my place but the last game came down to the last posession and Gary March from my OG roster (still on my team) got the game winning steal to send me to D2 for the first time. I was watching the game live and have never been more nervous/excited about a real life sporting game than I was for that BB one haha.

Unfortunately me and Dong ended up in the same league and I tanked the next season... but it was still fun.

Who is GM-Hurdy? Never heard of him. Must not be that active on the forums.

Haha, that's awesome. It's for those type of nostalgic memories from my youth that I still play BB today. In high-school I told all of my friends about Buzzerbeater. I didn't win any of them over and it became a bit of a locker room joke, but that's how much I loved the game. Funny.

Now I see why you were so reluctant to admit your love for Mystic Pizza. You'd already put yourself out there for something else you hold dear, only to be laughed at. Sure, you played it off as no big deal... but it *was* a big deal to you. A very big deal.

You swore you'd never let yourself be made to feel that way again as an adult. It's all starting to make sense. (proceeds to start investigating A-Dub's formative years, will report back later...)

You remind me of the Doctor in friends who was infatuated with Arthur Fonzarelli :-)
