Thanks for the warm welcome!!!!

Looking forward to kicking some A@# with what has to be the lowest salary team in this league.

Just happy to finally make it here.

too early to tell. i'm anticipating a salary drop of well over $100,000.

this game must have been designed by millennials: the older you get, the less you make. woo-hoo!

Hang 'em up and get into coaching. Problem solved.

Hassan - how do you emotionally deal with watching your team skills waste away to nothingness on a weekly basis?

There are a number of tried and true strategies to deal with this.

1) bring in motivational speakers that tell my players that "winning is a state of mind" and that winning is simply a function of "wanting it more than your opponent".

2) have a stiff drink before looking on Fridays, or, better yet, don't look at all.

3) learn from Buddhism and realize that attachment to skills results in pain and disappointment.

4) see it as a challenge and try to delay the inevitable. this is the most constructive view.

for others, the game is about player development. for me, it is managing player decline. i think few people see this as fun.

now i have to add the Cantaloupes to my list of teams with which i can no longer compete. more enthusiasm, at home, and they still whipped my tail. it's obvious they had a good team, but they either moved up a level, or just as likely, i have fallen a couple.

that list will probably lengthen as the season goes on.
