Tucumcari, NM – In a move that has garnered the approval of the AARP, Tucumcari Whaler’s GM ozone announced today that all Whalers’ facilities, including the Whaling Grounds, will be made more senior friendly before the start of Season 20. He explained that the recent addition of aging big men Asbjorn Otterlei (34) and Gustavo Giulietti (36), combined with the retention of guards Pierpaolo Capra (32) and Walter Schwarzler (33), has focused the team’s attention on the needs of their elderly fan base. Changes at the Whaling Grounds will include the addition of oatmeal and grilled cheese sandwiches to concession stand menus, scooter charging stations located throughout the stadium, and complimentary Depends available in all restrooms. Half-time entertainment will also be geared towards older fans, with acts such as Johnny Mathis, Bobby Vinton, and the Lennon Sisters. When questioned about the changes, Whalers power forward Tibor Kazinczy replied “Oatmeal? Grilled Cheese Sandwich?”, and wandered off towards the nearest concession stand.
