After a very long season that ended in a wonderful championship, season 50 is upon us, and the Ramat-Ilan Pilots (RIP) are ready to go!
Introducing our starting lineup:PG - Armando "The Shifter" Moreno Diez (40919613) Arriving to RIP just before the playoff, the Spanish NT player came and made a difference, securing from the bench hard-fought away games against Echis
(92067) and Wyverns
(92204).
In the following season, Moreno Diez will play a much larger role at the Guard and SF positions. Good luck!
SG - Grigory "Grey Goose" Soldatov (41896199)Our homegrown Israeli star player has made huge progress in the last season, securing a starting job at the Israeli NT and becoming the Pilots' captain. His goals are the lead the team with sacrifice in the old-new SG position and hopefully make some clutch shots at the end of games.
SF - Zhou Xiangzheng (40885352) The Chinese PG, who specialized in SF play lately, has become a focal point of the RIP's starting lineup. His all-around play is magnetic, and his silent leadership skills are proven. Zhou is humble and not too talkative (the only player with no nickname), and keeps his salaries low to help out the finance of the team.
PF - Idan "The Spoon Killer" Amir (41895708) Another Israeli NT player who is somewhat new to the team but is hear for many more seasons. His versatility and scoring skills are making a real impact on the team, and his skills are yet to be finished popping. The Spoon Killer mentality, much like the Mamba mentality, is one of the most fierce personas, sometimes even terrifying, in the Israeli BB world. Beware!
C - Traianos "Funny Triko" Koumparoulis (42519053) The German NT starter, with probably greek descent, is one of the best Centers in the whole BB world. Let's just say that he justifies his high salary for good reasons. Traianos Koumparoulis, or in short (because nobody can pronounce his full name) - Triko, is the funny man of the group, keeping the spirits high, even after losses.
The Goals of the Season1. Win the 3rd championship in a row. After the very hard battles in s49 playoffs, RIP will do everything to secure the home-court advantage. It won't be easy, but this is the main goal.
2. Get as far as we can, hopefully to the semi-finals, of the BB3. In s48 we got to last 16, in s49 we got to the quarter-finals. We need to take another step forward.
3. Secure a rightfully owned place in the top ten of the BuzzerBeater World Ranking. Just for the Prestige, nothing more.
4. Take the National Cup! It will be very difficult, but we will need the earnings for team sustainability.
