After a bunch of seasons with fortuitous early cup draws, the bill comes due this season. NBBA team in round 3 and now an away game vs a good d2 team in round 4

@SaulTNuts Brother, your team is my kryptonite… I can’t win against your squad. We were looking good the first half and then you had to injure my starting SG and it was down hill from there. Seems like it’s time for Knights to think about full tanking mode.

NBBA Season 70 – Day 7 Recap (Saturday, November 8, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

10inch Vertical and Mill City Thunder Win on the Road; Knights Fall Again to Their Kryptonite
Day 7 saw home teams dominate once again — except for two. 10inch Vertical and Mill City Thunder stood tall as the only road victors, while several top contenders reasserted their status in convincing fashion. TarTeam, Virginia Cavaliers, and The LA Lions each delivered statement wins, and ExplosiveBubbleWrap continued their unbeaten surge despite still missing star forward Dowell.

10inch Vertical Sting the Kings Knights Yet Again
It’s becoming a trend the Knights can’t shake — 10inch Vertical once again proved to be their kryptonite, taking a thrilling 91–89 win in front of the Knights’ home crowd on national TV. E. Papakonstantinou anchored the victory with 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Vertical’s poise in crunch time sealed the deal. The Knights dropped to 0–3 lifetime against SaulTNuts’ squad, sparking speculation that a tanking pivot could be on the horizon for the frustrated franchise.

TarTeam Obliterates Shorthanded Visionaries
TarTeam unleashed pure devastation in a 142–27 demolition of the Visionaries. Manager Peluin rested all starters ahead of their upcoming National Cup clash against the Kings Knights, and TarTeam — led by I. Fisher’s 35 points and 7 triples — took full advantage. Their 34 assists and suffocating defense turned the night into a historic blowout, showing just how dangerous TarZip’s machine can be when firing on all cylinders.

Virginia Cavaliers Keep the Momentum Rolling
The Cavaliers crushed Jumpstop Jumpers 125–61, dominating on the glass (63 rebounds) and in transition. W. Saucedo impressed again with a 16-point, 17-rebound, 3-steal outing, while the Cavs’ depth proved overwhelming. The win keeps Virginia among the NBBA’s elite as they continue to blend experience with explosive pace.

Mill City Thunder Bounce Back with a Road Win
After resting players earlier in the week for the Cup, Mill City Thunder rebounded with a steady 98–82 road win over the Delaware 87ers. The champs looked refocused and composed, with TonyC’s squad methodically controlling the tempo throughout. It was a quiet but confident reminder that Mill City remains a force whenever they decide to turn it on.

Silverbacks Outlast Lords in a Gritty Battle
The Silverbacks took down the Los Angeles Lords 90–78 behind D. Carmona’s 31-point masterclass. Their defense once again proved to be their backbone, forcing the Lords into tough shots and dominating the half-court rhythm. The win helps Silver steady their season and reassert themselves as one of the Great 8’s most balanced squads.

Stark Contrast Hit Their Stride at 4–3
The Stark Contrast climbed above .500 with a 91–81 win over ETBU Tigers. J. Valentin was electric once again, and Stark’s trademark efficiency down the stretch made the difference. ETBU’s H. Kangshan grabbed a monstrous 23 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to slow the steady resurgence of astarkfuture’s group. With their fourth win, Stark Contrast are officially back in the mix.

The LA Lions Maul Splash Gang’s Backups
The LA Lions dismantled a resting Splash Gang lineup 124–45. With their starters sitting to stay fresh for a National Cup matchup, Splash Gang never stood a chance. A. Gonca was unstoppable, posting 12 points, 16 boards, and 7 blocks, while P. Holtz tallied 10 assists. E. Silver’s -21 efficiency and 10 turnovers marked one of the worst performances of the season.

Continuation of NBBA Season 70 – Day 7 Recap…

ExplosiveBubbleWrap Stay Hot Without Dowell
Still without injured forward Dowell, ExplosiveBubbleWrap improved to 5–2 with a 107–92 win over Wobbles. The young Wobbles played hard, but EBW’s pace and depth once again made the difference. D. Vega turned in another dominant two-way performance, proving EBW can win comfortably even without their emotional leader.

Final Word
Day 7 was all about separation — the strong flexing and the struggling searching for answers. TarTeam and Virginia Cavaliers continue to dominate, Mill City Thunder are quietly back on track, and ExplosiveBubbleWrap remain perfect without their star. Stark Contrast’s steady climb to 4–3 is a testament to their balance and maturity, while the Kings Knights’ third straight loss to 10inch Vertical might be the signal they need to shift focus to next season.

I want to give all praise and glory to the BB gods.

Actually, I think you've just had some really bad luck against my team. Here's a few examples from tonight's game:

- My team committed 14 fouls and you only shot 10 FTs, and your team committed 13 fouls and my team shot 21 FTs.
- Your team had 2 traveling violations in the final 3:30 of the game
- Like you mentioned, Agneray was injured early (I'm glad it was only an in-game injury)

The Free Throws alone were a 10-point swing...it's tough to come back from that.

Yeah I don’t know at this point if it’s bad luck or just lack of talent.

Last season I was highest fouling team and I tried to make some defensive changes to combat that, but it seems I haven’t solved that as I’m still second highest fouling team this season so far. On top of that, this season I’m seeing much higher FT discrepancy between my team and opponents than last year and as you said it’s hard to make up the points when opponents getting free +10 points from the line.

It’s not helping that I feel like Short is also underperforming this year as I expected better results from him since he’s back to playing in his proper position.

I don’t know, from looking at squads I feel like I got the talent to compete for 5-6th spot in the division, but something is not clicking as my 2-5 record and statistics show.

NBBA Season 70 – Day 8 Recap (Tuesday, November 11, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

TarTeam, Silverbacks, and Cavaliers Win on the Road; Dowell Returns, Cup-Driven Rotations Shape the Night
Day 8 broke from the usual home-court advantage as TarTeam, the Silverbacks, and the Virginia Cavaliers each secured impressive road wins. Several teams managed their rotations with the National Cup in mind — most notably the Kings Knights, who fully rested their starters, while both Jumpstop Jumpers and Mill City Thunder protected key players for their upcoming Cup matchups. The headline of the night: Bruce Dowell finally returned for ExplosiveBubbleWrap, though TarTeam spoiled his comeback.

TarTeam Flatten ExplosiveBubbleWrap, Spoil Dowell’s Return
Even with Bruce Dowell finally back on the court, ExplosiveBubbleWrap couldn’t handle TarTeam’s relentless pace in a 123–83 blowout. TarZip’s squad dictated the tempo from the opening tip, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy points. Dowell’s return is huge for EBW long-term, but on Day 8, TarTeam’s cohesion and pressure completely overwhelmed them.

Silverbacks Grind Out a Tough Road Win Over the LA Lions
The Silverbacks walked into Los Angeles and secured a gritty 78–65 victory. Their half-court defense shined once again, slowing the Lions and controlling the rhythm. It’s the type of road win that signals the Silverbacks are settling into their identity as one of the league’s most balanced, defensively disciplined teams.

Virginia Cavaliers Torch the Resting Knights
The Kings Knights, focused on their looming Cup clash with the Visionaries, rested their entire main rotation — and the Cavaliers unleashed a 141–61 demolition. W. Saucedo delivered the performance of the night: 42 points, 18 rebounds, and an efficiency of 53. Virginia’s energy, pace, and depth are setting a terrifying standard for the rest of the league.

10inch Vertical Blow Out Jumpstop Jumpers’ Rest Squad
Jumpstop Jumpers rolled out a Cup-resting lineup, and 10inch Vertical took full advantage with a 106–38 dismantling. Vertical’s defense was ferocious, producing 13 steals and 7 blocks. Bascur and Shipley disrupted everything inside and out, turning rest-night vulnerabilities into a comfortable win.

Splash Gang Take Care of Business Against the Lords
Splash Gang grabbed an 88–76 victory over the Los Angeles Lords, leaning on balanced scoring and strong guard play. After resting their stars earlier in the week, SG looked refreshed and in control throughout, with Anderson delivering the best rating of the night.

ETBU Crush Mill City’s Cup-Rested Rotation
Mill City Thunder, also preserving starters for the Cup, were no match for a roaring ETBU Tigers squad. ETBU dominated 117–57 behind Kangshan’s 25 rebounds and Celanova’s 10-assist masterclass. With crisp passing and relentless rebounding, ETBU delivered one of their most complete performances of the season.

Stark Contrast Cruise to a Home Win, Improving to 5–3
Stark Contrast continued their upward climb with a clean 96–61 home victory over the Delaware 87ers. Valentin steered the offense smoothly, while the defense suffocated Delaware’s young core. At 5–3, Stark is building serious momentum and reshaping their early-season narrative.

Wobbles Roll Past Visionaries With Confident Shooting
Wobbles handled the Visionaries 96–77, powered by sharp outside shooting and ever-improving chemistry. Samara’s five threes led the way as this young team continues to grow in discipline and confidence — an encouraging sign for a squad just trying to stay in the NBBA.

Continuation of NBBA Season 70 – Day 7 Recap…

Final Word
Day 8 was heavily molded by National Cup-minded rotations, but the teams that played full-strength made major statements. TarTeam, Silverbacks, and Virginia flexed with road wins. ETBU dominated a resting Mill City. Stark Contrast held strong at home, rising to 5–3. And most importantly for EBW — Bruce Dowell is finally back, setting the stage for a more formidable push as the season rolls on.
