Mortons, I didn't know you were also a fellow alum of IV.26, so am I, as were the Brooklyn Bandits (came up for one season and then relegated last season).

This is a fun league everyone, and a lot has changed in just the two seasons I have been here. This season there should be a little more breathing room in terms of competition, for me however, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep up a 357k weekly roster. Unfortunately, my trainees from last year jumped from around 7k a week to 15 and 23:(

I like the involvement on the blogs so far, last season Kurgans played a large role in them, so new guys, you're gonna have to carry his weight. If anyone wants the Game day stats again this year let me know, perhaps that could be something, at the very least, that keeps people active and talking on here.

Good luck to everyone, and I'm putting it out there right now, Cardenas is gunning for three in a row, so watch out.

Opening night around the league and it feels good to get a win. First of what I hope is the start of many wins in the coming seasons here is D3-14

Yea! And you thought only Cardenas could score like that, off the bench! Good/fun round of opening games, theres some ballers out out there I see.

Hmm... Looks like I should really double check my line up before a game; especially when I've put my starting point guard up for sale ;/)

Of course I don't think there would have been any difference in the outcome but I'd at least feel better about it :-)

Same mistake for me...I forgot my starting SF was up for sale. My backup PF played the entire game at SF...

Don't suppose that you want to muck up your line-up for tomorrow's game by any chance?? :-)

Yes, I was in IV.26. I joined this game halfway through season 5, promoted out in season 6. Rizzo is the only remaining player on my team from those days, and he is 34 now (he was my first ever draft pick).

So, interesting first few games. Not sure what astral weeks is up too with his team, probably sandbagging for a few cycles to get more money to fluff his team and provide those studs he is carrying with some support and backup.

Lopez making personnel changes has me concerned, I was just getting comfortable with letting Cardenas have his way with my team as long as I shut everyone else down.

Now the Outlaws have this guy that is scoring like a rooster in a hen house. Maybe Cardenas will have a challenger for that MVP trophy. Hollis will make a bid by being invisibly consistent also.

Look forward to seeing how this will all play out of the next few weeks.

Well, I wouldn't be too concerned about Tan (from the outlaws) as he was sold during their first game. What is impressive to me is that the Nerds have two players averaging 29ppg right now, not an easy feat. I think this season is going to be much different then we have been experiencing the past few seasons. We've had a few dominant teams in recent seasons, but I think some of the 'middle of the road' teams are going to be stepping up this season, and I know that I for one have had my resources exhausted the past two seasons, and am not able to afford the team I've been running. Unfortunately I also learned that I can't play a game with three centers starting and hope that a 2-3 will work on defense. I will have to figure something out.

It is going to be an interesting season here and I am very interested in how it is going to play out. An update on D2 is that it is brutal. I have a cheap roster for that level despite haveing an expensive roster for D3 last season. On that note I have decided to upgrade one of my roster spots and am thus selling one of my guys. (2989038) is a soild D3 scorer and can hold up on the defensive end as well. He is only a one/two year player due to his age but his salary is good for what he can produce.

I know I have played all these games on "normal" but the buzz in Morrisville is crazy as we have yet to lose a game in D3. I need to continue to get cupcake teams in the tourney to continue to run TIE against them to at least add some enthusiasm. The recent player I purchased is much better than my current center. With my 1290 person expansion almost complete the franchise is growing nicely.
