So I decided this morning that I was tired of the clunky scrimmages page and wanted to make it easier to use for myself. So I added it to my local Firefox/Greasemonkey script. Here's what it looks like for me now:

Offers left to make: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/scrimmages_u...)
15 offers made: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/scrimmages_m...)

Anyone else want this? If so, I'll tidy up my GreaseMonkey script and make it available. I have a few others bells and whistles in there too, like:

Forum name highlighting: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/user_highlig...)

This might already be done in the FF add-on that's out there... I've never used it. Maybe the tweaks here would be better integrated into it, if it's in active development.

Anyway, interested in any comments.

(BTW, GreaseMonkey: (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/) )

I decided to publish the GreaseMonkey script. If you have GreaseMonkey installed, you can install my script by going to:

For now, configuration requires editing the javascript directly. GreaseMonkey, Manage User Scripts, then Edit. You'll want to change the team id, and probably the colours listed in the "Configuration" section near the top of the file. Also, the script is not localized... English-US only for now.

EDIT: New updates! I'll use this post to update with any new additions:
5/29, 1630 Eastern: Add play-by-play links to boxscore and viewer pages.
5/30. 1035 Eastern: Randomize your team initials in the scoreboard, just like Random Noise!
6/3, 0720 Eastern: Added an option to suppress the post rating system. (You need to edit the script to enable this.) (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/post_ratings...)
6/3, 2000 Eastern: More post ratings... make every post and poster 5 balls! (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/everyone_is_...)
6/5, 0940 Eastern: Flag counter: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/flag_counter...)
6/5, 1145 Eastern: Colour highlight of enthusiasm selection: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/coloured_ent...)
6/5, 1610 Eastern: Colour highlight of non-standard defensive matchups: (http://www.oeuftete.com/images/static/bb/tmp/lineup_match...)
6/5, 1830 Eastern: Current enthusiasm value now uses the BB colour range (scaled assuming the max enthusiasm possible is 15)
7/11: Removed the Play-by-play links, since there are now official versions in the menu.
8/28, 1330 Eastern: Removed the "knecht justice" option that gave every poster 5 balls, since the old post rating system is gone.

NOTE: If you download the newest, but don't get the new features you expect, you may need to clear your cache first... sorry.

It sounds interesting to me. I´m afraid I can´t be very helpful, but at least I express my interest for this project. Last time I used GreaseMonkey was for Hatttrick, and it was very helpful, mainly because of the possibility of having a customized set of links and shortcuts.
Thanks for your nice work!

Thanks.

Thanks... I put up a new version last night with a bug fix, so make sure you have the latest. I've been working on converting it from a GreaseMonkey script to a FF add-on, and have it working locally. I hope to make that available soon.

Nice script! I have some questions:
1) Randomizing team initials. I will have new team initials every match, won't I?
2) 5 balls to everyone. May I make my posts 5 balls?:) And will the rating of the posts be unlimited?
BTW, I can translate it into Russian if you need.

To get new random initials, you need to go to preferences, and click randomize, then save the preferences.

For now, you can only make all posts and posters show up as 5 balls, not just yourself. When things are in 5-ball mode, you can still rate posts however you want.

BTW, I can translate it into Russian if you need.

Thank you for the offer. If/when this becomes a Firefox addon, I will start localizing it, and then I'll be able to use translators. So I'll add you to the list.

Just wanted to see how is the FF add-on going?

It's still on my list... I haven't been able to make the time to tackle the learning curve for making it an add-on.
