Awright - it appears that I have to open this thread again this year - So be it!! First I would like to welcome back Shabbies and sgunited to Div II.2. I hope you guys have success again and this time stay up for keeps. I also would like to welcome the other new teams from Div III - I hope you guys do well and have success and eventually move on up to the Naismith Division. And, of course, I would like to welcome back to all the returning teams - to each and every one of you I wish you a kick ass season.

Yaaay, lets have another go at this!

I wonder what effect the Game day predictions will have on the games/seasons. Anyone have any cool experience or info they would like to share :))))

Best of luck to everyone this season. I'm probably going to be flipping a bunch of players this season while I build my arena and train a couple people, so I'll probably have a stretch where I win a bunch, and then a stretch where I can't make a basket to save my life, ha ha.

Should be fun, boys (and girls?)

This just in. Looks like The Toronto Ravens have just acquired one of the greatest SF/PFs of all time, and probably the best in canadian history.

How sad to see such a talent waste his final playing years on such a mediocre team! ;)

This is comparable to Hakeem on the Raptors.

HA! Indeed.

It was more than I would have liked to pay for him, but considering how stripped down my team is right now I figured he could give me some versatility and play multiple positions while I do some training and try to stay in the cup for a while. Plus, his skills are dropping so his salary will decrease but he's still talented enough to be a major contributor when I need him to be.

Plus, like you said... he's a legend. I was blinded by his prestige.

I truly admire the all Canadian content of your team - I simply don't have the patience to roundup Canadian talent like you did. Hats off to you - except now - too darn cold!!!!! X-(

Thanks. My commitment to it comes and goes. Every once in a while I get frustrated of waiting for a Canadian player that fits my need to hit the transfer list and I go blow a bunch of money on someone from another country, but every couple of seasons I hit the reset button and unload them to go back to my fellow Canucks.

I have a decent starting point, now. Lebrun and Casgrain are going to have pretty long careers still and are good enough that even if I promote they can be productive off the bench or as occasional starters. Ulric and now Maja are getting old, but they'll keep me competetive while I train some decent depth players and replace some of my scrubs, and then I can replace them when I have the cash to afford some top level players in their 20's and I'll be ready for a run at Naismith. Maybe next season, but more likely the season after.

Bballin... like Kumiko said, ALMOST DOESN'T COUNT!

Well I've got a rough week ahead of me. Ravens, Goombas and Shabbies. As well my cup draw won't be easily pushed over. This should be fun. If I make it out with at least 2 wins I'll be happy.

Don't worry - we all have stretches like that in our schedule - tell you what - if you go easy and play 3 players against me - then your defeat will be painless, just think of the the GS you will have against the other teams :D

I was thinking the same thing. I've got you and Shabbies back to back, and I'm on the road for both of them, then a d.3 team from my old league that I can't exactly walk over without using a few of my good players. I can either continue in the cup and flat out tank one of the league games (and probably lose both) or I can use my scrubs in the cup, and try to put a decent squad out for both league games.

Jesus, it's almost like they expect me to strategize in this damn game!
