So, this div 2 forum looked quiet last season but I'll say hello anyway and see if it turns out any different this year.

I'm yet to scout the opponents, but I have a decent idea of the general standard in div 2, and did scout all the promoted div 3 teams and thought I looked weaker than most, so this should be a challenge! I'm up for one though, will be a nice change from a mostly bot division.

Bought Villa yesterday for 100k lower than the low end of his current value, and £22k came off his wage overnight. Niiiice.

Well the good news from my opponent scouting is everyone on my side of the division has at least 3 players with higher salary than my best player, awesome! I still have money to spend (obviously) but everything is too expensive or I've not been online...Maybe it means waiting until a few weeks in but that's fine.

I need to sort out my training plans, annoying. I made it worse by signing some more 18 yr olds I fancied more than those I drafted but eh. In the meantime if anyone can point me to where I can sign up to win the u18 championship, I'll be very grateful ;)

Kicking (wait, tipping) off tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

No? No-one? Well ok.

Managing playing minutes without the blowouts / garbage time is harder! Two 30-35 min games are nice...The potential that both run to 40 when losing games is bad. So then do you even start a player in 2 games? I haven't quite worked it out yet.

I think every promoted team probably finds that a problem, no matter which division. If you know you're going to lose, and often we do know in advance, it can be worth it to leave a player or two out of your starting lineup in league games in order to maintain game shape. Other than that its just difficult and you can end up just trusting to luck, which is pretty much what I did last time I was promoted.

Things I've bought recently: a trainer with "career extension" to attempt to help my oldies (Naidzenau immediately gets a double drop in one attribute \o/, it's working then! I also didn't even know that was possible) and a level 6 doctor (upgraded from 4), I put in a speculative 1k on one who seemed cheap and got him so eh, not complaining. I can deal with a little less profit per week.

Blue vs Red: 4-4 week 1, and 4-4 week 2. Can anyone break the deadlock tomorrow?

Personally I'm looking forward to the next few weeks, I actually have some winnable games after most have seemed out of reach. Likely out of the cup this week too so no more split loyalties.

I didn't keep up the red vs blue tally, but it became very one sided in favour of red. Having a look around I think we have the deepest / most competitive side of a div 2 league. The blue side of 2.2 might be stronger at the top, but a competition between the two would be close / fun I reckon.

I won 8 in a row since my last post :O (before the loss at Arab) I knew I could win some but I didn't expect that. Things have fallen nicely this season...Can relax until the end of the season now really, just got to pinpoint who I want in the draft (lots of evenly talented players scouted atm) and I should have a winnable relegation matchup.

The other aim is to get Villa the assist title :D Currently doing some calculations vs Silk and Salampessy. What tactic = most assists for your PG?
