Welcome one and all to Season 52.

Firstly, congratulations to Vycka on his third consecutive title! He looks a strong favourite to redeem his crown with his recruiting method as well as bolstering a team salary of over £1m. Congratulations also to the five promoted teams who all have some form of EBBL experience, albeit a short stay last time out for Mexican Taxi Driver and London Whales. We welcome back former champion in Galaxy Walkers and the more established Bethnal Green Erks and Falcons Heywood.

The blue side looks as though it'll be as competitive as it has been in recent seasons with Doncaster Hawks leading the way and looking to go one better this time around. Tide of Fire is always a threat but his side isn't getting any younger, whilst LIDLTallFellas and Optic Fibres are usually there and abouts for the playoff spots. With three of the promoted teams falling in the blue side, the last places for the playoffs and relegation spots will be tight.

The red side is dominated by BC Zalgiris but Stinkilemons has a better side than last season so could close the gap and be his closest challenger. Gauson and Midnight Stallions both look strong whilst London Whales packs an expensive roster.

I can barely keep it this season, i'm unable to pay attention as much as i'd like due to work overload at the hospital. Guess i'll try to fight a bit to avoid relegation but it's going to be quite tough.

What hospital? Are You busy with flu infections ?

I'm a Medicine student in Spain, and we're having split practises between or regular schedule and COVID patients. ICUs are overloaded and they requested students to cooperate with medical staff.

Tournament is looking good this year, a lot of the top seeds are through to the last 8 and it should be a fun series of games to decide the champ.

How's everyone's season going? i'm quite pleased, operating below the floor and staying in touch of he playoffs. I will have a call to make after my tournament run finishes about whether to stand pat, bring in some more experience for a playoff push or consolidate the bench and keep training my fringe starters with a view to promoting one of them next season.

I need another star or two to compete for silverware but the extra year on aging really changes my outlook quite a lot in terms of being more patient in my approach. Pretty much given up on the Engish-only recruitment policy as the talent pool on the market is so shallow and some of you guys have deep pockets when a home grown star does hit the market.

EDIT: OH FFS, Zalgiris in the last 8 again!!!

Interesting draw.
The Tier 2 teams get each other and Wasps get Bournemouth, probably the next best either could wish for, given the Drunkers record against the tallfellas.

Lemons vs Doncaster is a pick 'em and obvs I'm a large underdog against the champs but it'll be intersting at least to me how I do relative to this time last season.
