Yea nothing exciting, the game is relatively the same
And I don't feel there will be a miraculous turnaround anytime soon

I have come and gone twice now, I still recognize most managers names from my first stint lol

Now that I've gotten back into the game in more detail, not much has changed. Some new coaches. Utopia league to address the 2nd team problem.

Overall though, I still really like this game. What appeals to me most is the prospect development, finding out optimal training schedules, projecting out long term, etc.

I should promote to D2 at season's end, but it looks like I'll get my ass caved in at D2 unless I invest heavily in talent. I'm kind of expecting to yo yo between 2 and 3 for a couple seasons before I gain a stronger foothold in D2, with an adequate arena and so on.

I wish the transfer market was a little stronger, seems relatively easy to find players to buy, but selling for profit is difficult.

You're right for the TL, except exceptional players with high secondaries and young high potential studs, the value of players dropped quite a bit in the last 12 months. Finding bigs with 60+ inside skills is not that hard neither cheap. But they get their asses handed to them when playing against homegrown players with more rounded skills.
D2 is not that bad, they increased the salary floor a few years ago so it is quite high (244k in my league), and with a roster just above that I'm not the best team but far from the worst either. Managing to stay there should not be a big problem and you should make way more money that by staying in d3, even with the bare minimum roster.

Agree with Fwinns, best way to make money at the moment, in Canada at least, is to have a team near the salary floor of D2 with a fully developed arena.
As far as the game itself, it looks like they are trying to speed it up. Providing more training support staff gets us more pops each week (which is probably what most people keep playing for), especially for 18 and 19 year olds. And adding on the new Buzzerbeater Madness games means more games a week too. I think they are getting to a better balance and once they have the new game viewer/app set up, I hope they invest more into advertising and getting more managers.
