Done scouting all 19, 20, and 21 year olds. If I've missed yours, please BBmail me.

Done new draftees in div 1 and 2. Onto the non-bot div 3 teams.

U21 is basically ready to pick, just waiting on game shape for choices for the first game. (and we'll see who is manager)

Have a great holiday Monday everyone :)

So, that election was really close. I know he's done well with his club team, but no U21 speech, no U21 debate, no confirmed knowledge of what it takes to scout, keep an elaborate spreadsheet, communicate with managers.....

Anyway, to anyone in Canada seeing a lack of something in the U21 program, what is it? You can write here or BBmail me.

It already was difficult to compete with the larger countries and it is now even more so with the dwindling Canadians playing the game still. Our pool of players to train is low, and the amount of players that are trained properly with U21 in mind with adequate staff and infrastructure is even lower.

I would have thrown in the towel already if I didn't want to make worlds and have a fighting chance just one more time...

Training Minutes:
How many weekly minutes each age group need for full training?
18-19: 45 weekly minutes.
20-26: 48 weekly minutes.
27+: 40 weekly minutes.
Note: One minute buffer is placed for all age groups, which means 44 minutes is also sufficient for 18-19 age group.

Honestly? I think people just go in, see the rank, and vote for those with higher rank.
Don't take offense to it at all. You are doing fantastic job

Thanks for taking that question.

It's quite important to have a 5+ trainer 5+ youth trainer and some gym and training court infrastructure these days.

You can get 20 TSP for 18 year olds now. Not difficult to train guards, forwards, or big men in 1v1 forwards for a majority of the first season as a good base.

And now with last minute foul outs or free throw substitutions not make or breaking a training week, it's easier.

hey, returning player really looking to jump back into this.

I haven't been around since probably around season 30? When I go to training I see %'s beside position groupings. For example for Inside Defense training its lists C with no percentage and then PF at 90%. I assume that means you'd get the full effect of training with C minutes, but only a 90% effect with PF minutes. My question is the multi position scenarios. It is leading me to believe that I will get a full training impact if I use minutes at C and PF. Is that correct? Or is that 100% impact of what is a reduced max impact when training at multiple positions? If its a full training hit does that mean I can be training like nine prospects at once? Especially with the reduced minutes now needed to get full training?

Where am I confused.

Reduced minutes are for 27yo+ players, not relevant for young trainees. (granted 45min is enough for 18-19yo, but it only helps in rare situations where the GE decided to not follow the depth chart the last few minutes of a game for some obscure reason)
There are some training that are at 100% efficiency for 2 positions, like rebounding. If there is the choice of 1, 2 or 3 position training, like inside scoring, 2 pos would be less efficient than 1, and 3 less efficient than 2 obviously. Picking "alternative" positions just lowers the efficiency even more.

From experience, with 3 trainees it's already complicated to get 48min for each one every week. Fouls or injuries or simply the GE decided he had enough means you get a perfect 3x 48 only once every two weeks on average... Having two main trainee + a backup one destined to be a backup all his career is more manageable, and you're not to disappointed when the 3rd one doesn't get all of his minutes.
If you want to be somewhat competitive and your trainees are not starter-ready yet, 2 is already a challenge TBH.

Quality over quantity! Always ;)

Correct if you train something like ID at PF + C it is 100% of some reduced amount that they do not publish.
(I wouldn't bother because it's probably a drastic amount)

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses!

Unfortunate to see how quiet the BB Canada forums are. Although it was always trending downwards. Anyways hopefully I draft a solid prospect and we can have something to discuss haha
