Welcome all to a new u21 season where we host the Asia Cup here in Australia.

Our starting 12 team has been set and we faced off in our opening match against Malaysia last night. IT was a well fought contest where we came away winners 116 - 87 [65896].

3 votes- Guoze- 23pts, 66% FG, 3 boards, 3 assists, 3 3pters. He did it all off the bench.
2 votes- Nunes Roberts- 18pts @ 50% FG, 9 assists.
1- Turner- 18pts, 4 assists.

Please get in contact with any player training updates, or plans for potential players. I want to be apart of your training plans! A few players sit in the wings for call ups so lets make sure this time of the season we arent overplaying our players with cup games if they are starting 2 league matches each week. Its sometimes a tough call, but no point paying a high salary for a player if they are performing like your lowest paid!

Next week, we take on Thailand!

Victory vs Thailand, in a topsy turvy game
(65898)
In a game of runs, we have stormed home against Thailand to take an important win against a quality opposition 121 - 102. With a first quarter domination we appeared to be in a dominant position up 12pts in the first quarter. But Thailand fought back to pull the game within 4 by the half, then going on to lead the game by 12pts mid way through the 3rd quarter. Having grown an extra 10 grey hairs in the 3rd quarter, the coach was ecstatic to see the Aussies storm home with 37pts to win the game in style.
Mvps
3 votes- McCabe. 24pts at 66%FG, 4 ass, 4 rebs and 2 steals. Kept his opponent quiet.
2 votes- Chudasama, with 27pts including 6 3s, 2 boards and 1 assist off the bench.
1 vote- Turner, 20pts and 3 assists.

New Zealand next week! Great work.

For all those not keeping up with U21 season just a quick overview.

We've managed to beat Thailand and secure ourselves a Grand Final position against Hong Kong. This means we've already qualified for the world cup next season in addition to a Trophy!

Congrats to whitewind and team for a successful season, we have had some great players come through.

If you have time please watch the game tomorrow night at 6pm

Thanks for picking up the slack here, Solesky!

Yes, our u21 team has achieved its goal and sent our nation to the World Cup. This will be our first appearance since our remarkable bronze trophy in the World Cup in season 41! Australian managers have been spoilt recently with the NT side also gaining rare access to the World Cup stage to compete against the Worlds top teams.

The grand final match is on tomorrow night, just prior to the draft where our teams will hopefully pick up a player or three to train up for the u21 side in seasons to come.

MVP performances leading up to the final have been hidden until now:

Hong Kong vs Australia:
3- Chudasuma
2- Rutgerson
1- Turner

Australia vs India-
3- Impey
2- Karampelas
1- McCabe

Vs Vietnam-
3- Turner
2-Khaira
1-Gleeson

Vs Thailand
3- Impey
2- Turner
1-Rutgerson

With one game left tomorrow, we will see who our season mvp will be next week!

In our final we fell short to Hong Kong. We gave ourselves every chance with tactics and thank you to the managers contributing in the offsite to prepare for the big matches! Deano and Solesky, you guys are great.

MVPs vs Hong Kong
3- Impey
2- Nunes Roberts
1- Karalumpus
