Dog River Hall of Fame adds Williams!

Owner Pappy O'Daniel announced today that Edward "Easy Ed" Williams will be inducted into the Riverdogs" Hall of Fame at the halftime of tonight's home game with Arizona Cacti. Williams earned two league MVP titles—one in II.4 and another last season in III.5—and also finished 2nd in another II.4 season. Named to 9 league All-Star games. "Easy Ed" played in 176 games with the Riverdogs, averaging 14.5 ppg on 50.6%FG shooting, 12.7 rebounds per game and finished with a very respectable 2:1 assist:turnover ratio.

Sold at age 33 to a fine Canadian team last week, Williams still holds the Riverdogs' singel-game rebounding mark at 31. Those 176 games yielded a BB rating average of 14.5 (with a game high of 19.5). While "Easy Ed" will be sorely missed, especially by his teammates and Dog River fans, it is certain that many of the opposing teams will be glad not to have to face him again.

"Easy Ed' bobbleheads will be given out tonight to everyone attending the game at the Dog Kennel. Let's give him a great welcome tonight!

Dear Mr. O'Daniel,

I still have the negatives of you and that underage girl from Thailand. If you think moving me out of town will shut me up, you have another think coming.

Sincerely,

"Easy Ed" Williams

LOL! I would have loved to hold onto him—no skill drops this entire season—but contrary to that email, I wanted to try to get some decent money for him before it was too late!
