Laga'aia favourite to win MVP after breakthrough season

Whilst Josh Laga'aia has been a great player for a while now, it wasn't until this season that it translated into individual success for him. Not only did he finally make the national team after a couple of seasons of being on the fringes, he also dominated multiple statistical categories in the ABBL.

He made the 50-40-90 shooting line seem like an ordinary feat in comparison by going 56-55-100, whilst also being the 12th best scorer per game and 8th best by total. His passing skills placed him equal 9th in assists per game and equal 6th on total, and he also led the league in steals, both total and per game.

Combined with what was YSD's first ever 22-0 season at the ABBL level, it seems almost certain that Laga'aia will claim the top league MVP award, making him the second YSD player to do so after Rhys Melmeth (who did it twice, though I think Cicvaric should've been MVP instead the second time).

There's no time to celebrate yet however. YSD are still 4 wins away from the ABBL title, and the only thing going 22-0 really does is ensure we don't have to win an away game to win the title.
