After a heroic 20 point victory in game two of the finals the Leeds Lads suffered a surprising 16 point loss in game 3. When asked for his thoughts star player Cain Cushway simply replied 'Fortis est non pertubaris in rebus asperis'.

Coach said that the Lads did not expect to be promoted in their first season, so to be in the Finals was a 'luxury' that affords his players a fantastic opportunity to grow in experience.

A new season brings new hopes and challenges. Excitement abounds around the drafting of young starlet Richard Stapley. The 6'6 forward has bags of potential and the Lads faithful will be keeping a close eye on his development this season. The other young players in the squad such as Cain Cushway and Lucky Davies are also making great progress. Rumour has it Cushway may even be called up for the u21 England squad this season. The squad is oozing with youthful energy and talent, the future is certainly bright for this group of players.

The newly relegated Bradford Dragons will offer stern opposition to their Yorkshire rivals Leeds Lads. The 31st July will be a date to pencil in on the calendar, for these two teams will clash with one another on what promises to be a glorious summer's evening of sweat and tears.
