With the length of time I've seen it takes some 2 week injuries to heal, my guess is that it's not rounded up, and just the integer is shown.

So, in summation, a prudent player would assume that a 2 week injury could take up 2.99 weeks and plan accordingly?

It is only an estimate. So When it says 3 weeks it could possibly be longer.

Also, when it says 3 weeks, it could be anywhere between 3.01 weeks and 3.99 weeks.

This still does not explain how come I see for 9 days the same amount of week,
because if he started with 3.99 he should be with 2.99 after a week, and I should see 2 weeks.

As explained, this is just an estimate.

Just like when you build your arenas the time taken is only an estimate.

I don't think people understand what you are asking. However, that estimate you are seeing never updates like theoretically it should based upon the report from your team doctor. When a player gets injured for 3 weeks it will continue to say three weeks until he actually returns. This forces the team owner to actually do some of their own homework and determine when they might expect their player back rather than relying on the game to do all the work.

Therefore, you see 3 weeks the day of the injury, a week later it will still say 3 weeks, and again, a week later it will still say 3 weeks. It's just something that does not update.

This is definitely incorrect.
