Hey all,

I'm not sure how active this league is, but I figured I would try and make a thread about this offseason to spark some conversation...

My season was officially ended courtesy of the Miami Raptors as they mounted a 4th quarter comeback and took advantage of the last of depth my team has. However, at least we were able to pull off a minor upset against Mean Muggin (the 2 seed) and hopefully next season will bring better things.

As for the draft, I've been scouting the max amount all season which, despite taking a heavy financial toll, seems to have paid off because there are some very good prospects to be had. Hopefully I get one or two of the 5 or so players I'm targeting, but I feel like I can build a future team around any of the players on the top of my board as they are outstanding trainees. My frontcourt was pretty solid this season, so I'll be targeting some guards in this year's draft...

What about everyone else? Anyone have plans made for this offseason?

Good luck for next season I am sure you will do fine.

As for the draft prospects I think you will get some nice players, to bad for me I have the last pick :S but at least I have one it all which is also nice :)

But tell me ... you spend 40k al season long? How much info do you get for that? everything?

Looking at my economy page, I can see that I have spent 40k on scouting since 12/21/09 for sure. I know that I've spent 40k since I made this team, but I may have joined later than scouting for this season began. Regardless, I have 44 players scouted at least once...19 of which were scouted a second time. We have a very good draft class with 14 5-star prospects (although there may be more in the 5 players that I don't have information for), so I think my 1st and 2nd round picks will be very valuable players.

Good luck in Div IV next season, I'm sure you'll do well to hold your own. Hopefully I'll see you up there sometime soon. I'm still trying to rearrange my roster, but I should have my team playing on a high enough level by the end of next season to make a serious run in the playoffs.
