I can see that this forum is practically dead, so I think it wouldn't hurt anyone to open a thread like this, last year we had a little discussion going on in the Second League with Scottish Leo and the Glasgow Falcons, so maybe we can do the same in this league.

So if you wanna share any thoughts, predictions, etc. go ahead :)

As for myself, I'm really happy to finally play in this league because in the Second Division about 80% of the games are against bots and it's really exciting to play against real people here. I lost my first game because of a buzzerbeater at the last second of the game but I finally got my first victory yesterday, so I'm okay with the start.. I think there is a clear division between the stronger and weaker teams in this league and the teams at the bottom are just going to use the games against the strong sides to get the required minutes for GameShape and Training and only play seriously against the teams that are fighting to stay in the league.. I hope in the future the teams will be more balanced but right now it's hard to achieve that because of the difference in gate receipts..

Anyway, good luck everyone!

Prediciton for me Relegation battle is going to happen at best, seems like you have the best chance to survive of the promoted teams Calvin but I'll do my best to hurt your chances.

One more thing Calvin if your stadium can't compete then your prices must be extremely high...

It's not because of the prices, it's because of the size, my prices are maximum and I get almost max attendance, but I earn about 175k per game while the league average is 357k, so I can imagine some people getting over half a million per game. The most important thing is to have a big number of Bleachers but it takes quite a lot of money and time to build a proper Arena, so for the time being the stronger teams have quite an edge.

The average is about 100K at the moment actually, that said, I think our champion has a negative balance at the moment so the average might be higher if we discount that team.

Which average are you talking about? Because I meant the gate receipts and in the League Averages box it says Attendance: $ 357 415

Ah sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were talking about average earning per week rather than per game.

Guys Any thoughts on actually getting some active players in the Scottish leagues?

I have checked out other countries and they have a wealth of managers and stong divisions where as we have 1 strong division and one maybe 2 Divisions. The gap for a newer player is shocking realisticly the teams that came up thiss season will drop down most likely. Mainly due to the lack of competition so it's a big issue in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

I like basketball, but I can´t talk whit you of scottish basket because I´m not from scottland, I´m spanish, I created this team the last year because my girlfriend was in the erasmus program, in Aberdeen, that´s the reason for the name of my team, 'Hillheads'.

Un Saludo

I wouldn't say that no one likes basketball here, there are actually quite a few people but they're simply not aware that Buzzerbeater exists and even if they do, most people are too lazy to devote some time towards learning about the game.
