I have a question, in the MVP vote, where it says 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º and 5º those are the judges?

The judges are: Charles, Mark, Forrest, Edju and Patrick.

I voted for Pedro.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. The way you describe is pretty neat I must say.

hehe, right...

no. actually fans are voting for the players. Teams that get better results, and thereby have more fans, have higher chance of getting a MVP player.

a big factor in mvp voting however is that the player is known to the fans in the league, and that means being in the top 10 list of the league.

to get in there, it is important to play many games as starter in the league.

So the mvp player isn't always the best player. it's as the title says: the most VALUABLE player. if the better lpayer played less minutes or less games, he might be better, but didn't add that much for the team, and thereby is less valuable.

Hope this all makes sense.

In short: to get the mvp award you need:
a good player (not necessarily the best)
who plays a lot of minutes in league games
and plays a lot of games during the season

Personally I think that if your team is very balanced, and you are a good tactician switching tactics often, and divide minutes evenly over your players, there's little chance to get the mvp award, as there are always managers in the league who have their team drive on 1 key player, and play him often and a lot.
So if you never win the mv award. Don't worry, it doesn't make you a bad manager. ;)

Gee, I cant wait!

You will probably need a bit more than your roster full of MVPs though.

I think it is better to announce the results of the mvp voting at the end of the regular season. This change should remain.

I had a brief look at your league, and m first thought was: mabye they changed the system along with the switch to the new time of the voting.

But then, seeing the player who won the award has a lot of games played, and does apear in the assists leaders list, plus the fact he averages a decent amount of minutes/game it makes him a player to be in the mvp list.

Why hasn't the 2nd in the voting not won the award? he is the leading player in the most points scored list of the league, which is often a big help in the voting?
I think because he played slightly less minutes on average, but more importantly, played less games.

The winning player also is a NT player, maybe that adds to the popularity of the player, I don't know, but it's possible...

nyway, after a brief look, I don't find your result so odd, taking my comments into account.

I might be off, and it might work otherwise, but to my feeling, it still works the way I described...
It would be interesting however to get other theories from people experiencing somethnig diffrent, to compare them, and maybe we might find how it realy works.

Yeah, I can also find the reasons why the winning player could get it.
For example: (6363492) is a better player and often gets the MVP. nice stats during the season and so on.

I believe that the formula takes into account ranking of a player in 3 categories(at least): assists, points, rebs. + the team's performance.

indeed.
and to get a good ranking in those categories, the player needs to play many minutes and many games.
team performance is impotant to get more fans behind your team.

so yes, what you say does comply with what I thought.
