Over halfway through the season and the Big Blue Machine continues to roll, particularly at home. They have yet to drop a game at The Shark Tank, or even get close to dropping one. This will be key down the stretch as the Machine has the Minnesota Lakers and Holmen Heat at home. As balanced as the Big 8 is, this could prove to be the difference going into the playoffs, where home court will prove vital. Personnel wise, the Blue have leaned on the offensive prowess of Silvas Izokaitas, who is averaging 22.8 per game on nearly 60 percent shooting, and Miha Bozic at 16.5 ppg and a very respectable 50 percent shooting. Those two, combined with the double-double averaging Al Grubbs, and the dependable PG combo of Hanley and Riggins, make this a team to be reckoned with.

Yes man..You have been my toughest in the top 4 of the big 8. I have added a few players over the past several weeks and pushing for the playoffs. You can probably thank me for roughing up Minny on this past Tues night 106-93. Wasnt even that close as I had my 2nd/3rd string guys in. They will be looking for revenge on my Naptown Pacers if we meet in the playoffs. I kinda narrowed it down to you against Supreme Court in the finals and thats NO Disrepect to Minny AND Holman. Should be fun as we go down the stretch. Good Luck! Hope to avoid you in the playoffs if we make it.

Hahahaha yeah i was ecstatic about that. All i have to do now is beat Minny at home to lock up home court, where im undefeated this season. Idk i wouldnt lock myself into the finals just yet. Holmen beat me once, and the fact that you beat Minny on less ENTH that easily says alot about your team as well. Minny is good, but you outrebounded him playing a 3-2. Holmen should handle him easily with that inside attack he has. I expect whoever comes out of the big 8 to handle the great 8 champ, all of them have major flaws it seems like. Cant wait to see how it all turns out. Good luck down the stretch :)

The playoffs this season will be full of unknowns. In the big 8, the Naptown Ps have emerged as a dark horse, upsetting two of the top 3 teams down the stretch and creating a highly interesting first round matchup in the Shark Tank, the most hostile environment in the league. In the great 8, every single team is an unknown. Supreme Court and Salt lake have been completely unpredictable, while the Muggles and Court murderers have made recent improvements, the effects of which are yet to be seen. As far as the Big Blue Machine, the team has never been better. New addition Constantino Cassina has been a welcome outside presence to complement Izokaitis. The team looks good and should be a tough out in the post season.

One round of playoffs down. We go into the conference finals with the Big Blue Machine, coming off of an impressive win over a strong 4 seed, playing the Holmen Heat, who beat Minnesota handily. The Machine look to extend their 12 game home winning streak, and 8 game league winning streak. In their last matchup, MVP candidate Silvas Izokaitis had 38 pts and 19 rebs in a double digit win or Big Blue.

In the Great 8, Muggles snuck by an improved Court Murderers team. They will face Salt Lake Cities, who destroyed the new ravens team. This should be an inside slugfest and may depend on the performance of another MVP candidate, Andrzej Tyll.

Second Round should have some fireworks

The conference semifinals passed without major surprise. Muggles won a hard fought game against Salt Lake, with Bernstein leading the way at 22 pts, 11 rebs. They also held the deadly inside combo of Tyll and Pressley to 18-38 shooting. In the B8, Big Blue dismantled Holmen. Holmen stuck with the 1-3-1 defense that he played all year and payed dearly for it. Led as usual inside by Izokaitiz, the Big Blue outrebounded Holmen 70-37.

Up next, a finals matchup between the two number one seeds. Though the Machine has dominated these playoffs, and seems to be a heavy favorite, Muggles is not a team to be overlooked and has beaten this team once before. This has been a fun season with you guys and i wish you all luck next season and beyond.

Good luck to you mate and ouch! On Game 1! "crushed" is a good adjective for your match report, "snuffing out my big men" is another observation ;). Congrats. Muggles won't be able to turn things around at the Den......

If it makes you feel any better, that was the worst offensive performance ive had all year. Unlucky for you, it was coupled with one of the best defensive games ive had lol. Good game though. The final score is deceiving, your guys were in it until the last five minutes

"Many congratulations to BBM. Mighty fine champions." Mr Mugsey O'Brien, Chairman of Muggles Basketball Club said to crowded reporters. He was delighted at the performance of the team at The Den and the team's first finals series and quickly vowed to continue investment in the squad but not at all costs. He reminded all that sustainable growth was required.

After a hard fought season, the Big Blue Machine emerged victorious and were crowned champions of D.V 54. The victory was a combination of strong leadership by the big three of Bozic, Izokaitis and Cassina, and important role play by the rest of the squad. The Machine looks forward to competing at the next level, while Muggles Basketball will stay behind(maybe) to fight off the next wave of contenders, which will include the Naptown P's, Holmen Heat, Salt Lake, and who knows who else will merge.

Good luck next season gentlemen. I will definitely keep an eye on this league while you guys are here. I hope to see you all up with me soon. Feel free to BB-mail me with questions or anything.
