Games between the Great 8 and Big 8 start tonight. How do you think the final win/loss totals will end up? There is a huge game between the Saints and Crustaceans tonight.

On a personal note, I'm thinking the game between the Volunteers and Brewmasters tonight will be very close. Lets go Great 8

So after the 1st round of games, the Great 8 leads 5-3. Both of the big matchups were won by the Great 8 with G8 #3 DreamU beating B8 #2 creamycrackhawks by 12 and the Crusty Crustaceans winning the battle of the #1's by beating the Paradise Saints by 16.

Home court advantage might have played a role in the 1st round games as the Great 8 hosted. There is still a lot of basketball left to be played.

A little late, but round 2 is in the books. B8 hosted the G8 for the Saturday games and were able to win the majority of the games. The B8 won the weekend 5-3 and the total standings are now knotted up at 8-8. Both of the highlight games were won by the B8 this week with the 4th place Durham Roughriders stomping the 3rd place Knicks NY by 23. The Paradise Saints bounced back after their first loss of the League/Conference schedule with a big win over the 4th place Alpha Dogs 85-66. Round 3 is tomorrow night and will be hosted by the G8.

Competitive night in League V.34 cross conference play. The results were split right down the middle, 4-4. That brings the matchup total to 12-12. Two marquee games this week and a bonus highlight game thanks to Lightningfast's work on the forum. G8 #2 DreamU was able to hold home court and beat the B8 #1 Paradise Saints. The Saints have struggled on the road recently, but both losses have gone to good teams. Our second matchup went in the favor of the creamycrackhawks. The B8 #3 team was able to go into Come amd watch Arena and beat the G8 3rd place Knicks NY.

After all the build up for the Alpha Dogs - Dallas Lightning matchup, the game was a disappointment. The Lightning only played 7 players and laid an egg, losing 71-47. They put up a 3 spot in the 2nd quarter. Lemons dominated with 16 points and 22 boards while the recent addition for Dallas was not able to get into the flow. Girelli put up 8 and 7 in 42 minutes. A good forum rivalry has been sparked and hopefully the game will live up to the hype in Season 25.

Only 1 big time matchup on Saturday. The two 1st place teams squared off and the Buffalo Bullies were able to defend their home court. They beat the Crusty Crustaceans by 16 to move to 9-2 on the season. The B8 defended home court in general and won the round 5-3. They now lead the G8 17-15. Get ready because Tuesday is almost here.

The B8 has taken a commanding lead over the last 2 round of games. They took both rounds 5-3 and lead 27-21. The G8 has their work cut out for them with only 2 days of cross conference games left.

That trio at the top of the Big8 is tough, they tend to tip the balance. I don't know if the Great 8 can come back in the last two round of games but I think there are a couple of interesting battles for the last play-off spot in each division.

I agree. Those 3 teams can play some ball.

The B8 is close to wrapping up this season's interconference schedule. Saturdays games were split 4-4 and the B8 still enjoys a 6 game lead overall at 31-25. On a side note, the B8 won the allstar game if a tie breaker is needed.
