SilverSabers with the epic fail of the entire season...no, probably like the past few and next few to come. $800k+ for a 26yo with a 25k salary and unimpressive stats. Dude, you could have got like 3 or 4 impact players for the same money. In D5 you don't need much to move into and hang in D4. To damn funny...

Way to be a dick dude. The guy is new. Why not try to help him out instead of being an ass? This game can be very unforgiving to a new guy who makes a mistake.

JBot...I feel bad for my horrible comments about your new purchase. Looking a little deeper, his stats appear low because he has been playing mostly as a back-up in the top leagues. In this league his stats and impact will likely balloon significantly. He is also young enough to likely be an impact player for 8-10 seasons, making your investment 80K-100K a season for him. I suspect he has a strong defense rating based on how opposing PGs have played against him. You need to surround him with help and shed some of your excess payroll so you can build for the future around him.

You could dump $19,322 in total weekly payroll without hurting your team at all (See below). Then you need to find a defense oriented back-up PG with reasonable passing to play behind Khaymovich in about the 5K-6K range. Then find a strong defense/scoring PF in about the 10K-13K range. Your total payroll would not change from where it is presently, but you’ll be strong inside and out while still training Graham. You need to find one more PG/SG to train also; then sell Watkins. Within 3 seasons you’d have an incredible 3 guard rotation of Khaymovich/Graham/???.

Fire these guys:
Stuart Marion –Savings $1,436/week
Albert Costa –Savings $2,588/week
Steven Brown –Savings $2,514/week
Willy Robinson –Savings $2,100/week
Charles Osman –Savings $1,872/week
Cris Shook –Savings $1,883/week
Mack Mayer –Savings $1,511/week
Richard Marx –Savings $2,192/week
Boyd Gee –Savings $1,652/Week
Antoine Majors –Savings $1,574/Week
Total Savings: $19,322/week

PG – Khaymovich / ???
SG – Graham / Watkins
SF – Ledesma / McMullen
PF – ??? / Ritter
C – Mansfield / McCullough

Dmitry Khaymovich PG/SG
Your superstar and current cornerstone. I’d experiment with him at the SG spot also, using Graham at PG. Especially in games when you’re going against the better SG’s in the league.

Hank Graham SG/PG
I hope you’ve been focused on training this guy. He is a passing-scorer, which is hard to find. Work on his shot, defense, and ball handling he will likely develop into a huge scorer.

Erik Watkins SG/SF
His shooting percentage and TO’s are killing you, although he does give great defense. I’d bring him off the bench. Start Watkins at SF when you are going against a stronger opposing SF for his defense.

Garland McMullen SF
Will be a strong back-up at SF, provide great bench scoring.

Mort Ledesma SF/SG
I’d see if you can’t get some money out of him because of his MVP potential. There might be someone naive enough to overpay for this, although he will now be 21. He likes to rebound and block shots, while having a terrible 3 point shot. I’d play him at SF if you keep him.

Patrick Ritter PF
I love big men who can pass, and this guy loves to. He will make a reasonable back-up PF for until you get to D4.

Clemence McCullough C
Another passing big man, very good considering you’re outside oriented team composition.

Simon Mansfield C
Rebounding and passing, I’d start him since he is the more consistent passer.

Again I’m very sorry for my rude comments. Not sure what I was thinking that night. Good luck next season!
