Greetings and salutations to our friends down under.

I am the weird little American currently in charge of the Japan u21 which you 'blokes' get to thump like a watermelon. Since I get bored and since I am self indulgent (and too cheap to buy supporter) I have been making ample use of the press release feature with a little preview of each game in a "TV " style presentation, a much better example is shown in my league forum. But I made sure for my "theme" for our contest to use something from which I have learned is synonymous with another sport in your country.

I hope you gentleman approve.

We have a final game this monday before the semi final. The managers have done a great job in keeping good shape throughout the season. This week is super important as we face China the following Monday. Minute management is crucial.

Our final game of the season saw us fall short to China U21. They are no1 in the world for a reason. Coached very well, very disciplined in their player management. Our game shape this week let us down with 4 important players dropping shape below 8. China on the other hand came in with all guns blazing and great game shape. We held them to under 80pts, but Outside defense was lowered through a bad GDP read and opened the 3 pointers up for them on too many occasions. Our 3pt conversion was atrocious. On the plus we led in rebounds, O rebounds, FTs, blocks, better foul count, and had better ratings in majority of areas.

So we enter the 2nd chance draw next season.

MVPs
3- Grunter
2- Nagata
1- McEwen

Congratulations go out to Justjokin of the Melbourne Scorpions for training the most unbelievable 21yr old that i have ever seen. This guy could be transferring straight across to the NT from the u21. Rest assured a quality program has been considered to ensure he reaches his potential, but has had a huge impact in u21 level and, if all goes to plan, will smash a few of the scoring, games played, and rebounding totals that currently stand in our NT team. That is my prediction!

A mention also goes to Mitch McGovern of No Doogs No Worries, for their exceptional training of McEwen. In any other season, he would have dominated the stats and votes. He is up there with the very top few u21s big men that i have seen trained also, reaching very high primary skills at such a young age.

Scouting for season 45 has begun, and in particular i want to hear from managers training big men! Please if you have a big man, 19 or 20yrs that is tracking ok, send me an update and get communication rolling, and use the offsite forum to update his skills. We seem to have a bit of depth in guards and even SFs which is nice. A few 20 yr olds have already had a good impact with the side in Rao, Cullis, Hawkins and of course, Dollar Bill. So it is nice to see the stars of next season already with a full season of games under their belt. This should be motivation for the 19yr old trainees to communicate with me as they could see extended court time, especially with the first cohort of players impacted by a youth trainer!

Best of luck to everyone in finals games. Jump on the offsite and update your 18,19, and 20yr old players!
