South Africa Nationaal Team Season 44

We had a good season, unfortionately we lost our double ot game mainly as our starting center Umi Mji was injured after 8 minutes. But besides that i'm happy with the progress of the team and effort most of the coaches put into training our players. Below there is some information on how the team is doing and what can be expected in the upcoming seaons.

Losers tournement season 42 compared to season 44:

Season 43 & 44
Ranking 71 & 71
Record: 2-6 & 1-7
Point differntial: -201 & -86

World ranking & points season 42 compared to season 44

Season 42 & 44
Ranking 85 -> 77
Points 68 -> 102

Big step up for the South African NT, with good training of our young and talented players surely upcoming season we will see a lot of improvement. With the group of players we have now another medal can be expected at the AfroBasket Championship, at the same time a steady climb on the national team ranking.

Despite having tougher opponents than in season 42, we nearly equaled the win/loss record of that season. The main focus will be to train the young players who will take over from the old ones, Mabhoko Cebekhului & Sekgoma Lekgwathi will probably play their last season for the national team. They will make place for the ones like Julius Ifeanyi & Zikomo Mazibuko.

I'm looking forward for the next season and see results getting better bit by bit season by season, for now I will focus on getting ready for the AfroBasket tournement to make sure we can add another medal to our trophy room!
