Sharpling is in my hall of fame so I have a record of all his nt season stats and best skillset with me. Any heavy lifting will have to wait until I'm back from holiday tho'

Right...so it's a tie in 2 skills and Marichal is better in every other lol :), but yes they are fairly similar. Will send his skill in case any of you have a word of advice for Bora. I'm just not comfortable putting out his skills on forums, where uninterested parties can see them.

Have replied to Lemon's mail but I think I should comment here also.

I think its clear that the problem is different to whatever Sharpling's was. And I believe his high DR and low IS was his main problem since LI is always the best offence and it wasn't Sharpling's. I agree Marichal is a much better player. I'm inclined to agree with Lemon that GS is the biggest factor but also as Bora pointed out, its the first game and first games are often weird, mainly because of the low enth and game shape.

I also wouldn't think push the ball was such a bad choice. We didn't stink offensively, they just ran an offence that matched up well against us this week.

See how the next few games go, opponents defenses will also affect how many shots he takes, it will be interesting to see how he fairs when gameshape improves.

Push the ball combined with LCD can be dodgy, the coach can lurch from one extreme to the other.

Sharpling was also very aggressive IIRC

The NT doesn't look to have a PG of sufficient quality at the moment to get Marichal playing as the coach wants him to. As Bora as acknowledged, Marichal is a SG (and very highly qualified one at that).
I had Hongs in my club back court next to Sharpling, who was almost a good as passer and had better range. I often played him at PG next to Sharpling at SG.
While I haven't seen Pete Anderson's stats, I wonder if he might be a better foil to Marichal?
