This team is much different from the first three I've manned the helm for. We are showing the ability to compete but we are lacking in inside presence which is inhibiting the ability to get in the win column, Plus because we are so guard oriented and outside focused it is makes us vulnerable to GDP guesses which is what I think contributed to yesterdays defeat to Belarus. Next week against Russia should be a handful hopefully after that the schedule lightens somewhat.

It's been a couple of weeks figured I might as well check in, hope everyone is well, hope everyone is healthy. Here in the USA it's crazy thanks to CONVID19. WASH YOUR HANDS!

Sean Dunker: a JS pop, solid DMI, could be ready to break out! He is being trained more as a SF but our needs have led him to logging lots of minutes at PF.

Beau Bleek: solid DMI no pops, but is in good position to provide quality minutes

Jabulani Makeba: no pops but has excellent GS and DMI, has been our SF, I might move Dunker over there but I am undecided, nevertheless he will still play an important part.

Khaya Nkosi: no pops but a nice reset, he has been our starting center, look for that to remain.

Ngwazi Khomane : no pops, solid reset, needs some OD

Ad Hayden : no pops, so so reset,

Siphiwe Mamoepa: OD pop, best DMI, looking for a breakout performance from him this week.

Ayize Mini: rebounding pop, ok GS, meh DMI, getting better but hi build makes him a enigma.

and the rest of the roster is the rest of the roster.

Last week was a rough excursion. This week against Tunisia in front of our crowd should be a much easier assignment and hopefully we get finally get a victory! The goal before the season was to make the elimination phase, that is drifting away, hopefully though we can get some wins under our belt. If you have guys in the pipeline that you think can help let me know.

pretty much, dunker played a whale of a game, ciuple of guys were ok, couple were practically MIA. next week allows more of the same, and then we will have enough enthusiasm built up to ct the last two if so desired. 4-4 it seems ussually falls a little short of making the elimination round but if we die hard we go full om Bruce Willis and die hard with a vengeance. just glad to snap the skid.

and now it extends to 2 in a row. dunker has stepped up his game, mamoepa has had some issues but not everyone can be on every game. next week is on the surface a extraordinary challenge but i think a good game plan, good fame shape and a crunch effort can bring a surprising result. the schedule maker was unkind to us so getting and to the second phase is a tall order but i think we are in great shape to be able to host afrobasket next season. good luck with your training.

sorry to have been lax on the updates. work is exhausting but i figured i would check in as i take in a late dinner. its been a rough season thanks to a pretty tough schedule and a squad with some inside issues. but many of you are plugging along improving your players and i applaude the efforts. this weeks scrimmage against Senegal is a shot to try and salvage a little of the wounded pride we suffered last season when we lost 3 tightly contested affairs.

now for a progress report

Dunker, OD and FT pops, dmi and gs does not do justice to the progress he has made

nikosi, a JS pop and well positioned dmi and gs. hes had a very nice season

bleek , no pops this week but all in all he has also made great strides under difficult circumstances.

makeba, same boat as bleek but with a stouter dmi

hayden, js pop, this team actually has a lot of guys who can shoot the rock

mini, guy has lots of balance and will develop into quite a nice player inna couple of seaaons but at this point nothing in his build has come cloae to elastic.

mamoepa, speaking of guys who can shoot the rock particularly from outside this guy is the real deal, needs some ha dr and is to balance him out but dude is a stud.

khomane, hes had a ok season but lavks muxh oomph

makana, js pop, good ha dr, will be vital in s50

makhana, od and id pops, shpuld blossom next season

mase, not very slick but is best inaude defender so his profile will increase but needs to work on rebounding

fritsma, four pops this week, long way to go with this guy but he is getting there.

several other guys who could gave been developed just simply gave not been, but guys like johnson and jaga will make good reclamation projects for the enteeprising manager.

hope everyone is safe and healthy. and i hope everyone is satisfied with the performance of their club teams. my team has had a breakthrough season as we are in serious contention to promote from III to II which in America is a fest to hang your hat on, though i worry come the playoffs we will get our hats handed to us.

Are there some good prospects for next season?
Do you think the team will be stronger or weaker than this season?
