Hi all,
Sorry about the lack of match reports last season - I wanted to do them, and I got as far as half writing out stuff for at least the first two games (and I collected stats for the first 3 or so), but once the next game came and I hadn't done the report for the last one...There was no real/good way of catching up. I may finish the statistics bit today, if I do i'll post it - maybe 1 or 2 of you will be interested.
It's probably been a weird year for lots of us - I've luckily not suffered too many direct consequences (hope the safe for anyone reading this), but still, the added stress, etc hasn't been great for the ol' mental health - I suppose I play stuff like BB as a relaxation/distraction thing, and just didn't end up having the time / effort needed for some of the bits outside of scouting / preparing the team itself. BB's unreliability last season was probably bad for all of our interests too, but largely this offseason was a bit better, and the announced changes are quite exciting I think - it's a good sign maybe BB isn't dying anyway?
We've had a scrimmage each week though, and I've largely tried to use them to get minutes / experience to some of the younger players - some of them are really good! The announced change to aging helps us out - Phil Marichal gets another year to lead us from PG without the worry of skill drops :) Wayne Edgington gets another year too, and while Mr Lal has a job keeping Needham/Greene from his SF spot in any case, he's now got 2 seasons rather than 1 where at least he's not losing ground.
I'll select a squad of 12 in a moment so hopefully you'll get your merch boosts this week. I'm pretty sure of the whole 18 I'll use this year already tbh, but I'll keep the squad spots open just incase of injury / game shape issues.
If your player has potential (and wasn't drafted this season) I should've scouted him - but if you think I've missed anyone, or want to know where your player stands just send me a PM. Also if anyone owns 6'9+ players of MVP potential please train them, (or sell them!). We do need some new big men in the pipeline.
