I just won my first game 113-87. Not that I am complaining but it seemed as though the game should have been much closer. Here are

Rebounding: pitiful (medium) Rebounding: awful (medium)

Ok so my teams numbers are on the right. He beats me in most categories and I would imagine the game would have been much closer, but it wasn't. Also, my 2nd best player got hurt in this game.

Anyways, I am assuming that my tactics trumped his overall team strength. My question is how of a role do tactics actually play?

take a closer look... actually he had you by 1/3 of a level in outside scoring
you had him by 2/3 of a level in inside scoring
he had you slightly in perimeter defense, but you played a 3/2 which helped cover that difference... and he went with the princeton offense which looks outside and the 3/2 is a good D against that.

your inside defense were similar... you had a serious advantage on rebounding and it showed in the statistics... rebounding is very important.

finally the matchup ratings tell the biggest story.. your center dominated his in the game and this killed him.

he had you slightly in perimeter defense, but you played a 3/2 which helped cover that difference...

If the defence system was not 3/2 VitB6 's defence ratings would be different?
Does the system affect the ratings?

Good question Markoss. I would assume that there would have been a difference, but the question is how much of a difference.

Do these comments mean that it's better to compare offense vs. offense and defense vs. defense in analyzing our games? Not like HT where its offense vs. defense?

If I have much better inside off, and slight better outside than his ins/out def...should i play with higher pace then to do more FG chances?
or should i think the other way around..? Think my team has pretty bad stamina (inept, medicore or worse....)

i'd ask some fellow players this type of question... i don't want to give any official answer.

Someone asked something i found interesting and i think nobody answered him.

If i play, e.g, 1vs1 defence and I get an awful medium outside defence, will this rating change if i play 3-2? OR will I get a better outside defence WHILE the rating remains awful medium?

I hope you understand me ... ^^
