The team formerly known as the Scarborough Stampede are proud to officially announce the new team name, the Scarborough Squirrels. Managers, players and fans are excited for the long overdue name change, one that better represents the spirit of Scarborough.
Team Captain Schorsch Hörsting had this to say, "Only time I've seen a Stampede in Scarborough is at the Scarborough Town Center on boxing day, but Squirrels, I see those all the time".
The banners printed, jerseys made and the arena ready for the Scarborough Squirrels to begin season 62.
