This question came to mind yesterday evening after a new injury and a new home-court loss.

The bad luck started on 17 February 2026 when our Costa Rican NT player, Greivin Herrera, was injured. Four days later, we lost the first home-court game by 1 point! We brought in new players to strengthen the team in our attempt to avoid relegation. But lost another home-court game by 1 point! This time against the last team in the other conference!!!

We didn't lose hope and continued the fight. But then the injuries started. The first one, Sinesio Pratas. Out for 10 days. Tomorrow, he will start healing, and he will do the training again.

But yesterday evening against Cluj-Napoca Kingfishers, another player was injured! Again, an NT player that is a starter for us, Gordon Lennie. He suffered a sore back and will be out between 5 and 10 days. We try to get him back sooner. A proof in this direction is our decision to fire our doctor and to hire a better one. For a club like us, it is too much 3 injuries in one season. We hope that our new doctor, David Chamorro, a world-renowned doctor, will stop this curse of injuries.

Anyway, there are now only two games left to play. For us, both away! One against our rivals and one against the Romanian Champions. The only change that we can produce in our conference is to win both games, while Smar2 loses both games. Then we will finish the 6th instead of the 7th. But we don't believe in this scenario. And even if it happens, it will not bring us survival. It will only change the relegation opponent. And it will not be a better one.

Regarding our situation wth the injuries, there will be a lack of game shapes anyway. This is another reason why it is not worth forcing to avoid the 6th position.

So now we ask: are we the Don Quijote de la Mancha who fought with the windmills? Did we fight for nothing? Did destiny already decide that we will be relegated?

We want to believe that it is not so. And decided to try the impossible!
