The start of Season 73 marks a new chapter for Perlas Basketball Club. While this announcement comes a few games into the campaign, our vision remains unchanged: to build a competitive franchise through the development of Filipino talent.
This season, we are proud to welcome three exciting rookies to the organization:
Ervin Juan Galingan
Standing at 6-foot-11, Galingan possesses the size and scoring touch to become a force in the paint. His offensive potential around the basket, combined with his shot-blocking ability, gives the coaching staff an exciting long-term project to develop.
Juan Rodolfo Magale
A versatile forward, Magale arrives with one of the most well-rounded skill sets among this year's rookies. His ability to contribute on both ends of the floor provides valuable flexibility, and the organization believes he has the tools to develop into a complete two-way player.
Alvin Alain Basilides
At an imposing seven feet tall, Basilides strengthens the Perlas frontcourt with his rebounding presence, interior scoring, and rim protection. His passing ability for a player of his size has already impressed the coaching staff, making him an intriguing piece for the club's future.
While player development remains our long-term priority, the team's start to Season 73 has been nothing short of encouraging. Perlas currently holds a 4–0 record, highlighted by an emphatic 134–61 home victory over Dragon Knights. The performance reflected the unselfish basketball, defensive intensity, and team-first culture that the organization continues to build.
The season is still young, and tougher challenges undoubtedly lie ahead. Nevertheless, the early results reinforce our belief that steady development, discipline, and trust in Filipino talent can build something special.
