12/14/2020 - The Cassville Yuck cemented their place in NBBA history last night with their third consecutive NBBA championship. Optima Godwin named finals MVP averaging 22 points and 15.5 rebounds in the two Yuck wins. He also held Tzachi Sela, the formidable Upsyndrome big man, to 4 of 21 shooting in the decisive game. Team Captain and longtime Yuck stalwart Christopher Glover said, “Godwin was incredible. This team was incredible. A Dub doesn’t lose gold trophies, so this feels pretty damn good.”
McKinley Olson, Cameron “Last Ride” Brooks, Winston Pham, Cason and Godwin as well as reserves Alvin McCabe, Jared Wallis, and Wang Po Fu will be remembered by Yuck fans forever.
This cast of characters will be set free to wind down their careers. The rebuild begins now. The ownership group committed everything financially to make this run and it can be no more. The Yuck Hall of Fame will be decorated with their faces and the trophy room with those three shiny gold trophies.
