Biñan City Rage Survive Relegation, Defeat Jeorgians in Decisive Game 3

Biñan City, Philippines — The Biñan City Rage secured their place in the PPL after a dramatic comeback victory over the Jeorgians, 95–83, in Game 3 of their relegation series at the CALAX Pavilion last night.

Hall of Fame C Arby Teston delivered in the clutch, scoring 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Rage overturned a 14-point deficit. The Jeorgians had led 54–40 early in the third, but Biñan City’s resilience and home crowd energy fueled a decisive rally. He also added 10 rebounds.

The best-of-three series was tightly contested. The Rage opened with a 122–113 win at home, before the Jeorgians responded with a 106–96 victory on their floor. With survival on the line, Biñan City closed out the series in front of their fans.

Froilan Villablanca and Dennis Merida each scored 21 points to pace the Rage.

Keith Taton added 14 points and 10 rebounds, joining Teston in recording a double-double.

For the Jeorgians, Tian Yankun was virtually unstoppable in their Motion offense as he exploded for 37 points on 17-of-27 shooting, while national team guard Melecio Sidad contributed 23 points.

The Rage dominated the free-throw line as they pounded the ball inside, converting 20 of 26 attempts, while the Jeorgians managed just two free throws all game. Biñan City also outscored their rivals 26–11 in the final quarter, sealing the win with defensive stops and timely baskets.

While the victory ensures Biñan City’s survival, questions linger over Teston’s future. The veteran center, who anchored the team’s comeback, may be an offseason cap casualty, making this potentially his final appearance in Rage colors.
