There are players you build around, and then there are players who become the club.
Joe Sinclair was the latter.
Drafted into Lohnro Samoyeds as a kid and shaped entirely within our walls, Joe gave us everything a franchise could ever ask for. He trained relentlessly, improved year after year, and turned raw potential into dominance through work ethic alone. Nothing about his rise was handed to him — it was earned, skill by skill, season by season.
On the court, he was the heartbeat of our team. A constant presence. A leader without theatrics. Night after night he carried the load, anchored both ends of the floor, and delivered performances that defined eras of this club. MVP trophies, league titles, national team honours — they all followed because he never stopped pushing himself.
Off the stat sheet, Joe represented what we wanted this franchise to stand for: loyalty, professionalism, and pride in the jersey. He stayed when he could have left. He gave more when we asked too much. And when the time came that circumstances forced our hand, it wasn’t because he failed us — it’s because we failed to give him the stage his prime deserved.
Letting him go hurts because it matters. Because he mattered.
Joe leaves not as “a transfer”, but as a cornerstone of our history. His name will always be tied to the best moments this club has known, and his legacy is secure long after the roster has changed.
We thank him for every rebound fought for, every basket through contact, every season he carried expectation without complaint. We hope his next chapter brings him the League I success he earned through years of sacrifice and excellence.
