Pandesal has officially entered a new phase as the organization reshapes its roster and looks toward the future.
With the departures of Hidde Wiegel, Mark Renshaw, Popovic, and Graham, the franchise has begun a clear transition toward long-term development and sustainability. These moves reflect a deliberate effort to realign the roster with the organization’s long-term vision.
The rebuild was set in motion with the arrival of Prachuab Senamueng, a promising young guard from Thailand, along with the additions of Tang Koon Hoi, a shooting guard from Hong Kong, and Maximo Lezana, a power forward from Argentina. Each brings youth, upside, and opportunity as Pandesal focuses on building a competitive foundation for the seasons ahead.
However, the transition has not come without challenges. Pandesal has suffered back-to-back injuries to both Senamueng and Terry Wilczynski, leaving the team shorthanded during a crucial stretch. The string of setbacks has made this season particularly difficult, disrupting rotations and slowing early progress in what was already a pivotal year for the franchise.
Despite the adversity, management remains committed to the long-term plan.
“Every rebuild faces obstacles,” management stated. “Our focus remains on development, discipline, and building something sustainable. This season may test us, but it will also shape the foundation for what comes next.”
Pandesal will continue prioritizing growth, opportunity for young players, and steady progress as the organization navigates this transitional chapter.
