Los Angeles - Killer Beez new owner Krazy K jettisoned 12 players and purchased 7 new players, all international players in a whirlwind first 48 hours of owning the team.
"Our first game was 2 days after I had control, so I knew I had to act fast to fix this terrible roster." stated the new owner.
The roster overhaul worked as they survived an efficient 38 point outburst from Mambas SF Aohong en route to a very close 93-87 win. They will need to clean up their free throw shooting as they missed 7-10 in the last minutes of the game to leave the door open for the Mambas. Fortunately they missed a couple of open threes that very well could have turned the tide.
One of the few remaining American players, Landon Canales, was a monster on the glass taking down 17 rebounds to go along with 13 points. PG Tolmachev was the clear leader on the floor, scoring 14 points and dishing out 7 assists. He was the only clutch free throw shooter hitting 7 of 10.
The bench really stepped up finishing with each guy finishing with at least a +8 on the night. They were lead by American and crowd favorite Thad Pereira, who finished the night with 9 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in just 15 minutes on the court.
"I'm so happy to get this first win under our belt, but the works not done, We are going to train hard, and continue to work on the roster, and build the coaching staff" said a smiling Krazy K
