The Founders front office released its official post-season outlook today, addressing the conclusion of the regular season and outlining the razor-thin margins awaiting the team in the upcoming playoff bracket.
Front Office Update: Taking the Throne
On the court, the Founders have officially locked up the outright #1 seed in the division, upgrading from our #2 finish last season despite matching the exact same regular-season record, and successfully securing home-court advantage throughout the postseason.
While the front office is incredibly proud of the roster's regular-season consistency, management made it clear that the clean slate of the playoffs completely erases past accomplishments. The battles down the stretch have shown where we can improve, and the team is treating this fresh start as a 48-minute execution test to show what our high-IQ passing game can truly do when the lights are brightest.
The First Hurdle: A Familiar Threat in the Mindless Zombies
The road to the finals begins with an exceptionally dangerous first-round matchup against the Mindless Zombies.
While some outside observers might look at our regular-season sweep of the Zombies and assume a comfortable path forward, the front office was quick to inject hard factual context into the matchup. The Founders defeated the Zombies twice this season, but only by a combined total of just four points (winning both matches in absolute nail-biters, 102–101 And 90-88 winning both on Buzzerbeaters).
The Zombies feature an incredibly tough, highly efficient roster that has pushed us to our absolute physical limit every time we have stepped on the court. Securing a victory to advance will require absolute flawless execution from our guard rotation and continuous ball movement to break down their defensive schemes.
The Road Ahead: Trusting the Flow
"We aren't looking past anyone," the General Manager stated. "Beating a team like the Mindless Zombies three times in a single season is one of the hardest tasks in this league, especially given how incredibly thin the margin was in our first two meetings. We are going to trust our passing flow, let our playmakers dictate the tempo, and give everything we have to make a deep run at the finals."
Front Office Note:
An official post-season wrap-up update will be published at the conclusion of our playoff run to recap the final results of the campaign.
