In a testament to good old American hard work (and being 7 feet 3 inches tall), Freddy Cockrell has overcome being a rather impish draftee and put himself on the U21 National Team. The fans are very excited about the progression and continue to look for great things to come from The Big One (although ownership wishes they would show that affection by buying more jerseys). Opponents have been confused over the last 10 competitive games or so as Freddy has been running the point. In a conversation with Section H fan spokesman Jim Shortz last week he mused "He ain't no Wambamyomamma Frenchie, that's for sure, but he seems to have stopped dribbling the ball off his feet. So that's good. But hopefully someone who can actually pass a ball can play guard this year."
The rest of the team continues to gel around the big man. It seems to have been a good thing that Freddy's roommate, Hoss Cox, had to drive him to all his practices. Cox has developed into a well rounded player for the future. However, with ownership picking up Harrison Myers in this years draft, Hoss' future development is in question.
