Hello South Africa,

During last couple of days, I have been talking with Presicalitjar, and we decided to join both possible staffs in one to make it sronger.

I know that Presicalitjar wanted to be the coach of South Africa, and this is why I would like to thank him, really, because he finally decided to withdraw his candidature, and join us.

If we want to make things correctly, there is a lot of job to be done. We consider that six eyes (maybe eight or ten) see more than two. At this point:

1) zackcollins might be the scout for point and shooting guards (if we are elected, obviously). He should contact managers, propose plans to optimize the players for the NT, explain how ellastic effect works, ask them to train 48', playing 48'-72' for better shapes, gym, psicologist, all these things you know.

2) If we are elected, Presicalitjar would work with inside players, power forwards and centers.

3) In this way, I will be able to focus on small forwards, and analyzing other teams.

Still, we are open to receive other staff members. Because, we are not thinking only to look for a semifinal, a final or a victory in the AfroBasket. We are also looking for the future of South Africa, and this means developing better players in 6-8 seasons. We need to work all together, the staff of the NT, and managers with south african players, this is the only way.

Senegal is already doing it, in my opinion, we should study the future of South Africa in a longer time. This is how one obtains success in BB.

What do you think? Do you have any questions / suggestions / recommendations? Please, don't be shy, this is a debate thread :)

I see a great gulf between players who can contribute to a u21 and those who are viable for the senior team. And I also notice it takes 3-4 seasons for that bridge to be gapped. Will your grand design be more focused to building towards having these players ready for the NT in their mid 20's regardless of if they are viable for the u21 or do you plan to have the builds put together in such a way that these players will have real impagt for the u21 then perhaps with a gestation period while they finish matriculating ?

First of all, thank you for your comment, and congratulations for your good job.

As I had commented previously in the bbmail I sent you several hours ago, we want to begin a long-period project with South Africa, and for this, we need the collaboration of National and U21 teams, and a few good and hard-worker managers.

It is not easy to train a top player. It requires at least 9-10 seasons. And these managers need some periodical rewards, first watching their players having great victories in the U21. Later playing in the NT. In B3, we are checking that experience is really important in the big matches, and U21 and NT games provide a lot of experience.

I am very aware of it: my player Juan Alberto "Stockton" Valiente Mariscal (45642157) was the highest scorer in the U21 spanish team last season. He obtained a lot experience that, I hope that, might be important later. And the NT staff considers that he has some chances to play in several seasons with the NT. This is not new, some of the players that won the WC this season, as Olaso, Salvany, Manzano, Riveros Martín were really important previously with the U21 team.

Hello guys. I has a huge experience in buzzerbeater community, you can see it i am the oldest member from all the candidats for thia position.
First of all i want to train a national team which has a lot of good players (i was a team manager of Pakistan U21 but they i have only 6 or 7 available players).
If you will vote for me I can guarantee that i will lead my team to the top 40 (now we are at top 62) and i hope we will secure the best position of South Africa history in the African Cup.

I think that coach of U21 and coach of NT have to work together. In a small nation in terms of players as South Africa, we can’t focus only on building players for the NT.

It’s normal that there is a gestation time for players between U21 and Senior team. And sadly, players aren’t train after 21. So let them play in U21 if they have the level for.

I don’t want to weaken U21 team. But let’s work together to prepare best potentials to be part of NT in the future and to have the best players available.

Jesmara and his crew get my endorsement. While turning the overall nation into a juggernaut might not be realistic there is enough passion and acumen to turn both squads into consistent winners of Afrobasket gold and in time to build on both fronts to better compete on a world stage.
