Gorillas Seek Public Funding for New Arena

In a bold move, looking to assure their place in the local community and economy for the long term future, the ownership of the Vanilla Gorillas is reportedly asking local and regional governments for up to $2.5 million in financing to expand and improve upon The Highlands arena. While reports are limited on anything more the team is seeking, there have been rumors of ownership groups from other cities looking to purchase the Gorillas if a new arena, or significant improvements to the existing arena, are not completed within the next two years.
