Press Announcements

Milestone continue to tumble as Season 52 draws to a close

The Aussies went down in a friendly hit out against the English early this morning, using the game to give some chances to some new faces in new roles.
While the final scoreline wasn't ideal, the match did see some players pass some personal milestones of note.
Hongjing nailed 24 points in this morning's total to become the 16th Aussie player to score 1,000 career points, bringing up the milestone in his 73rd match in green and gold.
Grunter has now moved past 500 career points and looks to have plenty more left in him after a really solid game and is also three assists shy of 100.
Omu has moved past 200 career rebounds and incredibly has raced to equal 20th on the all-time blocks lists (level with the great Simon Thomas, among others) with 26 blocks from 41 games.
Of the less chased after stats to be leading, McFlynn is now our most fouled player in history, having amassed 330 in his lengthy career. He also moved to equal second on the all-time turnover list with 122 (again, equal with Thomas) but still way behind the incredibly near sighted Radford, who despite having hands like velcro when it came to rebounding quickly found they turned to butter when it came time to keeping a hold of it, recording an astounding 169 turnovers in his 100 career appearances.

A complete update of the All Time Aussie Stats will be completed at the end of the season.

We're in peak scouting mode right now so if you know of a player who you think should be considered, let coach Deano know.
