Hello

I think injured player should get rehab training& get a pop that week.

Depending on age and a various trainer faculty factors.

I was thinking about a very similar idea that would improve training but not in a drastic way that would require major coding overhauls.

My proposal was similar to yours in that training would require the following criteria:
- each training still is tied to a position, which is selected each week.
- instead of requiring them to start, any players that play that position will be eligible to receive the training benefit.
- the same minimum 48 minutes (or 45 for 18/19) applies to receive training, but does not all need to be at that position.
- players that play the minimum minutes will receive 90% of the current training volume.
- players that play 48 minutes at the required position will be eligible for the remaining 10% training benefit.

This would have the following benefits:
- allows more flexibility for managers during lineup builds, which makes for more competitive games.
- managers won’t need to tank games anymore just to get their trainee the minutes they need. All games can stay competitive.
- allows the option to train more than 3 or 6 players each week, albeit at a reduced rate.
- more mid-high level players in the player pool, increasing supply-> lowering prices-> narrowing the competitive gap
- minimal coding changes I would presume, as it’s still using the same mechanism -> easier to test and implement

Downsides
- no change really for managers training NT/U21 players most likely. However, this should be more difficult and require the high level minutes management that currently exists
- will mostly likely reduce the number of B3 level players, as some managers will chose the method of a reduced training rate while staying competitive. While D.II level players may become cheaper, B3 level players may become more expensive.

I believe this model is more realistic, as most training happens in the gym, and a small (albeit present) amount of training would occur during game time situations. Open to discussions on the %’s.

Thoughts?

That’s a fair repute, and I agree that tradeoff should exist at the highest levels. Should that same level of difficulty exist for lower league or new managers? Would having a more versatile training strategy at those lower leagues be beneficial to the game?

Or give us better control of minutes played so I can have reliable minute splits in Saturday and Tuesday games.

Just getting rid of the minute requirement would do wonders for the game. Allocating training points or coaching time to players would be the way to go...

Hello

Question would that create an imbalance of player skills, some player in one training in higher potentials for 48 mins will be attained in no minutes at all.

I personally think training should be expanded , i would keep minutes but there minor and major training ( specific). Nothing changes with training its more training to our players you choose
