So, I've played a season where most of the teams in my conference just happened to have rosters with around the same salary.
It was very competetive and fun. Most of the games were very close. Around 7 of my loses were in one possesion or in OT. Even MVP voting was close for 3 candidates. Easily the most competetive season.
And in relegation games there was a usual bb experience where dude just bought 35 y.o.+ trash which put him at 600k+ salary and he proceeded to easily win as expected.
All of that makes me wonder. Why is there no salary cap?
To me, right now, this game is not about skill. It's about saving money for 2-3 realtime years. Which I've understood in a first 2 seasons, but the idea of salary cap never crossed my mind.
