Last night we had a good win against UAE, with the bench getting a decent run and showing some depth options.
MVPs
3- 16pts, 8 ass, 6 rebs
2- McInerney 23pts, 4 rebs, 3 ass
1- Trayer-, 11pts, 20 boards!

All 3 were massive and all 3 had claims to MVP.

Last week the Philippines were too strong, it was a good game but our lack of a start on this game was really evident.
MVPs
3- McInerney 18pts, 4 rebs, 4 ass.
2- Trayer- 10pts, 10 boards, 4 ass
1- Flately 16 pts, 5 ass

The week before I missed new Zealands MVPs sorry, (it was a crazy time at work). I watched some of this game and was impressed by our assists pouring out.

MVPs
3- McAskill 19pts, 7 boards, 4 ass
2- McInerney 20pts, 5 ass
1- Flately- 16pts, 6 ass.

After that voting, it seems Flately and McInerney will be battling it out got MVP honours, but there is still a significant amount of games for the other starters to go on a tear!

Australia defeat Vietnam
This was no easy best, with Vietnam having two huge big men to contain. I was surprised the margin got to 24.
MVPs
3-
Trayer- 7pts, 16rebs, 6 assists.
2 Dingwen- 23pts, 4 rebs
1- Flately 15pts, 3 rebs, 3 ass.

The final two games will determine whether we finish 2nd-4th in our pool. Both games we would be considered underdogs, so I'm hoping for some good gameshape from the team.

Merry Xmas and a happy new year to everybody!

Last night we got the critical win against Iran, earning a playoff game for a spot at next season's world cup. Don't sell your players yet foils, we have one more game coming up! It'll be vs one of the good European teams.

MVPs
3- Flately 16pts, 4 boards, 6 assists
2- Jovancevic 14 pts, 14 boards
1- McAskill 14 pts on 6-8 FGs

The qualifier game is played next week, let's get some good gameshape.
