My usual question for all candidates. What have you personally done to develop talent for NZ U21 / NZ NT?

Previously being coach of the U21 I built a lot of connections throughout the world who had NZ players. Since my time away from the U21 position which has been many seasons now I have honestly just focused on my club team more. For my second team option the Maunga Battlers. I have signed a few kiwi players early on and have missed out on other talent that has been on the transfer market due to my economic structure.

I have kept a few kiwis on my main team that I have developed and will continue to develop unfortunately, they have not reached the heights of NT selection but I will continue to be moving into the direction of adding NZ players that fit my team and economic structure of my club teams when possible.

What are some challenges you feel you might face in this position and what are your actions or solution to try and prevent potential barriers?

First of all, it's not my first time playing this game, long time ago did have a team also.
These days game is different and we can see from current NT and U21 teams players development are being horrendous.
Not even trying to tell people what should be trained or how to do that efficiently. IS for guards are being forgotten, many good potential is being wasted. Honestly didn't see not even single one good player in both teams which were on sale.

Personally training two good youngster who should open doors in NT in couple seasons, they just need OD in their arsenal and they will be best players in this team.

Also we have to keep in mind that from this season there are changes in GE. SB RB and IS taking more of the pot and salaries were increased. From next season 3-2 defense will be nerfed as now everybody is playing by this tactic.

Also we need to talk with players who will train our countries players from the 18-19years, to encourage with possibilities that their player will play in NT and merch will pay huge % of their big salaries.

Overall this NT will have very long journey to have good players which can challenge more developed countries but we can start at this year with me on the roster. I would welcome anyone who want to participate, help and to have their impact ont the future of this country.

To sum up, we need big changes and different approach to everything.

I think i have answered a bit in previous message.

Potential barriers will be lack of players which are playing in this country this game overall.

Not many want to train hard players for other countries NT squad.

We need to create community of people which are now playing, have discord channel, talk with everybody, try to encourage have second Utopia teams also for training youngster and etc.

Overall all squad should be evaluated as now almost all players are garbage and won't succeed in anything :)

You make the statement that all players are now garbage and won't succeed in anything. So what do you think you think you will succeed in?

I would like to think like myself that if i was voted in as manager that we would want to succeed and hopefully gain some success through tireless work and communication with managers of players and potential players in the future. I have created a discord previously that players did not join. It was in the forums are you a member of this discord I don't think you have joined and if you did why have you not been active in it? It seems to just be hodgo ocassionally.

Did i said, that a current squad will succeed ? or you just read couple words from that big message ?
NT is a long, hard process of communication with players, analyzing opponents squads, checking market almost constantly and collecting info from other national teams players, training and etc. In upcoming 5 season this NT just can make a start to a fresh journey.

I did not join because i did not even now about that. I can do that, no problem.

To sum up, me or you will be better than a currect coach which is not active for more than a month.
